Working for an NGO where cash is short, this was an okay place to stay. The location is excellent and I liked the friendly and helpful staff, but this is definitely a no thrills hotel. The breakfast is okay. I have to say the people working in the breakfast room were extremely friendly. For me the one thing that defines an okay breakfast and a good breakfast is when the hotel serves freshly fried eggs. No fried eggs here, just the boring scrambled stuff. Bottom line would I stay here again. Yes if I had to, but I think I would prefer to pay a little extra and try somewhere else.

Close to many ways of transports, the hotel has an excellent localization. The room was clean, very cozy with a large window.The ambiance was calm. No noises. The breakfast is very good and varied. Nice staff.

Good: Breakfast. In-house sauna Bad: No room fridge in the "standard" but quite expensive room No dressing gown supplied Both important for using the in-house sauna Room cleaning very late - I had to complain to Reception on two days in a row. My complaint was accepted but there was no recognition otherwise eg a few chocolates, a bottle of beer etc. I intend to visit Helsinki again next year but will not stay in this hotel.

Hotel is locatad in 10 meters out of Hakaniemi Subway-station. Easy acces everywhwere in the city. The rooms are a bit worn; for excample in our room's bathroom only 1 of 4 lamps was working. The breakfast was ok. More fresh vegetables would've been nice.

Staff was good and friendly. Breakfast was also good. Then the room.. In one word; poor. Room temperature was hot and the "air conditioning" didn't work. Safe and peephole were broken. There were not enough towels for us all and the sink was clogged. One bed with drawer under it was broken (the drawer).

Check in was very slow. There was only one receptionist and systems were slow. It took about 10min per person. The queue was out of doors. The room was small and shabby. It was ok to sleep despite a bit noisy trams. You don't want to stay in the room any more than is needed. Breakfast was very good!

No complaints. On the contrary! Found the breakfast room cozy and simply loved my room. The staff were all very polite. Excellent city travel options (for instance, who does not love trams?). Don’t miss The Hakaniemi square (tori) itself, with a market hall and similar commerce outside. (These days - so what if the cleaning personnel were not all working the same way.)

We booked this hotel because it is located near Helsinki City Theater. Our friends booked also this hotel. So I decided to book a Superior Family room to get more space. It was 124 euros at a senior rate. Our room was ready on arrival at 12:15. However, it was very hot inside +28 despite the air conditioning. You could open two windows but it didn't help until the sun had gone behind the building located in front of our room. So we had to meet our friends in their crampy standard room. After the theater later in the evening, we could spend time in our room which was very spacious but spartanly furnished. The curtains had numerous ugly stains. The best part of our room was the bathroom. Although it was quite small, it looked fresh. Probably it has been lately renovated. The shower was the best one we had on this three-hotel weekend trip. The breakfast was very busy but the buffet was looked well after. The cinnamon buns were so delicious, much better than Scandic Grand Marina offered the previous morning.…

Good hotel in center Helsinki, very near to interestings places in Helsinki, room was clean, staff very nice, especially lady in the recepcion, and the lady who cleans, Brekfast was very good ,lots of meals. i definitely recommend this hotel.

If you're looking for a hotel with central location and traffic noises do not disturb you, then this is for you. If not - either get prepared with ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones, for this hotel is not for resting. Trams noise is disturbing until early in the morning (2-3am-ish). Rooms are wore down and weary. In my room the phablet used to communicate with reception was broken down and live wire was hanging around. Included breakfast is decent if you're an omnivore w/o any exceptions - then you're set. Be a vegan or vegetarian - the included breakfast is lackluster and sad. No soy sausages, no patties or soy balls. Getting your daily startup on vegan protein is difficult in this hotel. This hotel wouldn't have been my accomodation if it had been my choice, but it wasn't. Cannot recommend this hotel.…
