This is a really neat hotel. The rooms are small and basic (no art on the walls), but clean and abound with amenities. Inside the room I had a desk, lounge chair, fridge, and closet. Each floor also has a communal living room and a full kitchen, great when you need a fork or spoon. Each tower has separate men's and women's saunas. There is also a communal lounge on the ground floor for guests to relax in. The hotel is close to a tram line, but also very easily walkable to downtown when the weather is nice and you're not hauling luggage. There is also a supermarket a block away. Housekeeping comes weekly, and there was only a soap dispenser in the bathroom, so make sure to pack your own shampoo.

For the price I paid, I would say that it is an overall OK experience. This was my second stay, the room was OK but small. The room was clean but the painting on the ceiling was starting for wear off. The closets had holes on the floor full of dust. You would wish that they do a little extra for your comfort but they don't. For example, there is no room cleaning and I stayed 5 nights. To get room cleaning, you must stay more than 7 days and that will be only once a week. It would be nice to have the cleaning done at least once for stay longer than 3 days or at least a tidy up of the room. Also during my stay I discovered that it is you as a customer who has to take out the trash from your room. Everything seems calculated, so it does not cost the hotel too much. Breakfast is fine but not exceptional. The staff overall is friendly but you should not come with extravagant requests. The location is 10 minutes from Kamppi, 15 minutes to Kauppatori, the tram stop is just nearby. The sauna on the top floor is really nice and there is an access to a nice terrace with a wonderful view. Hotels in Helsinki can be very expensive so I think that for a short stay it is still a decent option. I have been to better hotels in Helsinki but those were more expensive.

Expensive for what is basically student accommodation (£63 per night booked 3 months in advance) and at time of writing, advertised nightly rate €91! Breakfast was a big plus point - a good selection of juices, fruit, pastries and hot items available each morning. Staff were friendly and it is well located for the no.2 tram or a 20min walk to the city centre.

Four adults stayed here for four nights. Brilliant place we booked in to two bedroom apartment. It had functional kitchen pots pans kettle microwave etc. had small four seat dining table there lounge had good set up with two seater and two single chairs. Bedrooms big with 4 beds that could be pulled apart or pushed together. Bus/tram service was about 200m walk and was only a few minute tram ride to middle of city. Would definitely stay again. Breakfast included in price had many different selections and very tasty.

I stayed at Toolo towers whilst attending the Slush conference in Helsinki.
Headline here is that you can get a #2 Tram from pretty much right outside all the way to the Conference in less than 30 mins.
Toolo towers itself is very accommodating and its worth nothing the emphasis here is placed on a restful and respectful stay.
The check in in smooth and straightforward. You do only get one key, which will set you back €100 if its lost, but being a responsible adult just make sure you have it on you when you leave the room.
There is also a significant fine for noise after 2200 so there is absolutely no wild partying or blasting music anywhere, just sweet and very welcome peace and quiet.
The swish of the trams and the quiet murmur of traffic is the only thing that you can really here, such is the calm of the building.
Next up, I want to talk about the viewing platform: if it is your first time in Helsinki it's well worth making your way upstairs to the buildings viewing platform, not only to get your bearings but to just take in the amazing view across the water.
The building has its own Sauna, one for me and one for women, and it's ridiculously good quality. I'd recommend an early as possible sauna on arrival, stupidly I waited until my last day to enjoy one and that was a mistake on my part.
The BREAKFAST is a breakfast of champions. Mounds of pillowy scrambled eggs! Delicious baked bread! Delicate berries enveloped in a flowing silken robe of natural yoghurt! Glass after glass of chilled Bilberry juice! Just wow. The staff quickly become some of the best friends you ever made as they work busily to keep everything topped up and fresh whilst you're sluicing down your third perfect coffee of the morning.
Overall, I'd recommend Toolo towers to anyone travelling for business, study or a bit of time away from the world in general. It has a wonderful coolness about it and provides an excellent base to explore the city further.
It's also only a few minutes walk from a number of amazing restaurants and the beautiful Sibelius monument.

We were in Helsinki for 2 months and this was our home. So long as you recognize that this is primarily a residence for visiting academics and not a hotel, per se, you will be fine. Personally, we loved the space and being able to prepare meals, have a separate living room and being able to spread out. Our (2 bedroom) apartment overlooked a nice grassy quad. Breakfast was good and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. A bonus was having washers and dryers in the basement and the use of the sauna. There is a very nice supermarket about 2 min away and also a liquor store and some nice bakeries. Töölö Towers is in a terrific neighbourhood....near trams, the beach, the Sibelius Monument, Regatta Cafe, and about a 15-20 min walk into the city centre.
The negatives, and they are small, concern the policy in the breakfast room about not taking any food away from the dining area (except coffee). While I understand this, there were mornings that I just wanted to take a roll or banana back with me to the room, rather than eat there. I did not want extra food, just being allowed something that I had paid for, with me to eat later. Maybe a solution would be to allow breakfast to be optional or allow people to take a piece of fruit, yoghurt and a roll away with them. Also, cleaning is hit or miss. It depends on the cleaner. But any concerns we had were quickly addressed. Finally, it would be good to have at least one English language television channel.
Having said all this, we can't wait to return to the towers and I hope the negatives that I have pointed out will be seen as constructive ideas to improve what is already a very warm and welcoming place to stay.

Was very nice and clean. You need to wash your own dishes but that's ok, because even standard private room has a kitchen.
Great breakfast and blueberry juice! I found some hair and soap pieces in the bathroom but otherwise the room was great, bed comfortable and room adjustable to any need.

I will call it a 4 or 5 Star ⭐ hotel. What I liked most is that it is a very safe place, calm, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is also healthy and delicious. However, there were essential needs unavailable such as soaps, detergents, sanitizers, Clorox, dishwashers and moppers. Most residents don't expect that and so they face difficulties in the first days.
