This hotel is situated in a really peaceful area and one cannot hear any noise at all. Rooms are spacious and good. I read from some reviews that the beds were old but in the room I stayed in beds were in good condition and sleeping quality was best possible. Breakfast is plentiful and good and I cannot complain about the lunch either. There is a sauna (not very good) and a big swimming pool. Very friendly service and really good value for the money.

Small hotel situated in a renovated military hospital. Very clean and comfortable rooms with a super breakfast included. We booked direct with the hotel website and the price/service combination is absolutely excellent. Lovely park to walk through to get to the main centre of Oulu which in itself is surprising and definitely worth some time.

We needed a place for one night, and this hotel met our needs. Our 2-twin-bed room had a pretty view of river and was pleasantly decorated, but it was cramped for 2 people. The bed was also softer than I like. When I had to retrieve something from the floor, I found dust along the baseboards. The breakfast buffet was average. Receptionist and server were friendly and helpful. Common spaces looked like they would be great for conventions.

The Lasaretti is located just off-centre from Oulu behind a nice park. Depending on your walking speed it takes 10-15 minutes to get to city centre. The rooms are large enough and clean. They are located in a different wing than the reception desk. Room keeping was fine, and the free Wifi worked without problems and was fast. The only thing I really missed was a water cooker, which would have been nice to have. The hotel has a rather large swimming pool (which I used) and sauna's (which I did not use). Breakfast offered a nice selection of things and was of good quality. The staff at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here on a business trip. Usually I stay in the Radisson hotel in Oulu, because it is more central, but this time we were travelling with a large van and parking at the Radisson is difficult. Hotel Lasaretti has not only a good carpark, it is also a beautiful hotel with good clean rooms, friendly and helpful reception, good breakfast, and it is beautifully located next to a park and the river. It is very quiet. They had a grill night and we ate good food out in the garden. I did not have time to use their swimming pool and gym, next time I will definitely check them out.

Hotel Lasaretti is certainly not a high luxury hotel, but the rooms are of decent size, are very clean and the beds are good quality. The hotel pool and gym are of very good quality. Breakfast has a good variety of sweet and salted items (the smoked salmon was actually very good), too bad the bread was mostly what looked like frozen items that you can buy in your local supermarket. The hotel is situated close to the river bank, and far enough from the main road, which makes it a very quiet environment, which is good since noise insulation in the rooms is just better than average. I will certainly return.

The Lasaretti's premisses are located within 10min. walking distance from the city centre. I recommend the way through the parc behind the hotel to go there. The nearby lighted dam makes a nice sightseeing spot at night. -The lobby and corridors feature some modern art peaces and give a sophisticated, yet cosy appearance thanks to wood components in the decor. Wifi is available and fast everywhere in and around the buildings. - The rooms simply make you feel at home with a classy touch and very pleasurable lighting. The bed was a little disappointing however and didn't seem to match the surrounding standard. - I was impressed by the sophisticated (Hur brand) equipment in the large gym. Hotel staff were friendly. Breakfast was simple but good. Rooms have an excellent view. Best part was getting the hotel bicycles and spending a few hours riding along the river and into town. Really well situated and I would strongly recommend it.

Whilst looking for accommodation in Oulu I spotted this hotel had an "bargain price" if you booked in advance and it had good reviews so I decided to book it. What a great location, I loved exploring the nearby Hupisaaret park and hearing the water running through the Merikoski hydroelectric dam. The room was comfortable and I slept well, the breakfast was nice in the morning. With regards to arrival and dealing with reception, it sometimes felt like I had to do a lot of asking to get the information, it didn't feel like a warm welcome.

Thought I'd give this a try for something different but what a mistake. This is not really a true, dedicated hotel. Check-in was conducted by the night janitor who was very friendly and helpful but it sure isn't very welcoming. The beds are cheap, worn out cots. Room felt like a hospital. There's AC running nonstop in the room (not able to be controlled whatsoever) and no heat available. So, even though it's summer, if it's a chilly night, you're out of luck. Nice grounds, easy parking and good breakfast but that's the extent of the praise I can give this "hotel." Seems like they make more money from their lunch buffet than their hotel and it shows.
