I visited Aaria B&B with my friend in the second week of March. We have been very lucky to be the only 2 guests there so we could enjoy the all kitchen and the 2 toilets! Aaria is been lovely with us, she came to pick us up at the airport and she was driving us around for £5, definetely cheaper then a local taxi! The location is great with a ski resort just behind you and far from the light of the city. Highly recommended!!
I really enjoyed my stay at this cosy B&B. I liked the breakfast and the location which is slightly outside the center so you can enjoy a walk on the river (if it's frozen 😉). In the kitchen you pretty much have everything you need.
You can feel at home at Aaria BnB. The house is a traditional finnish house in a nice neighborhood. there are 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms in the main area but we stayed in a separate room with private bathroom and was very comfortable. the common area, with table, kitchen and chimney was cozy and well equipped with all necessaries to have dinner (we used for 2 nights and it was a good choise, considering the expensive finnish costs for eating outside). Aaria, the host, and her husband have been so kind and always helpful. We also enjoyed the sauna, very nice. The breakfast is so good as well, with traditional of finnish options. Sincerly speaking I loved this place, you can feel at home! You can also have the chance to rent a car but anyway is not too far from Rovaniemi city center. We decided to not rent the car since all the safaries come to pick you up. Just one night we took a taxi for 15€ from Rovaniemi. There's also a market and a bus stop for Santa Claus village at 20min of walk. the Ounasvaara chalets and ski slopes are right in front of the bnb, so you can decide to go to their restaurant or go skii easily.…
I booked our three nights stay at Aaria B&B online. This was my first online booking experience and I booked it in a panic when I noticed rooms availability are going fast at Rovaniemi. Payment must be made at the time of booking and is not refundable if cancelled. I would consider it kind of expensive compared to some other locations, which had become available later. Its location is just far enough from Rovaniemi town such that we had to travel by taxi every time. The rooms are small, but mine came with an additional attic bedroom, which can be accessed by a retractable ceiling ladder but we did not used it. The windows can be opened slightly for fresh air. The two common shower rooms/toilets are ok. Breakfast were ok but limited in amount, unlike in hotels where it is replenished when it got low. We had to move about quietly because there were other guests staying in the other three rooms. A young lady met us and it turns out she was the only staff, performing multi-task roles. She was very friendly and helpful - she alerted us when the Aurora Borealis was visible. We caught some of our best pictures of the Aurora Borealis from this place and that made the stay at Aaria B&B worth it.…
I've been there for two nights, starting from the 8th of Feb. The house is clean, comfortable, and pretty. You can use the kitchen facilities. Timo and Arja are super lovely and friendly ! Even though I didn't ask for any meals, she gave me some fruit and bread. And when I left there, she gave me a gift~!! Thank her~!! The only week part is location. It's a way out from the city centre (by taxi it takes approximately 7 minutes and costs about €12), but it's located near a ski resort (good for skiers). Wifi is good and free.
