This was such a great adventure! We arrived and were immediately greeted and taken to see the dogs and learn all about them and what they can do. The dogs were clearly so loved and well taken care of, and they were super excited to get out and run! The sledding was so much fun and although challenging at times, at no point felt dangerous. Afterwards (and after some husky cuddles) we were treated to some hot berry juice and snacks in the most gorgeous traditional Finnish cabin. Loved every second of this experience, the people, dogs and surroundings were all awesome! Thank you! Kirsty & Neil

Very warm welcome to Korvala lodge cabins in a cozy little chalet for two people. It is well heated, the interior temperature dropped a little when the experimental temperature was equal to or lower than -30°C but this is completely normal. * Possibility to rent and privatize the sauna with bath in the frozen lake for €20/person/hour * Possibility of doing a sled dog activity from Korvala via their website korvala.com
I highly recommend, I had a good week's stay there.

Had an amazing husky tour and experience here. Was glad to get out of the touristy areas and into the country. Only accessible if you have a car, but def worth the drive. We did the 20km ride and it was amazing. We got so much more value for our money here including being able to walk around kennel to see dogs for maybe 30 min after our tour. Never felt rushed and really enjoyed ourselves. Husky yours aren’t cheap in genes but def felt like we got our monies worth here.

Had 2 days husky tours with these people, absolutely fabulous, there were 6 of us first visit was 4km run the second was a 6km run in the dark at minus 28 degrees. Nothing was a problem for them they made sure we were well equipped especially the 6yr old and the 3yr old. The dogs were friendly and approachable, good tour of kennels including meeting a litter of puppies. We had lunch on our first visit and the food was excellent. Lovely friendly family business which I would highly recommend.

Wonderful. A beautiful gem in the countryside. The husky sledding was one of the best things I've ever done, I loved it. You don't just get taken for a ride on a guide's sled, you drive one yourself completely and start to experience a bond with the dogs. And then to pet and meet the animals afterwards was such a pleasure. The owner was so kind and informative. We also borrowed skis and equipment for free to go cross country skiing through the forests on the trails for hours each day. And you can see the northern lights from outside your cabin. The only complaint I have is that they have some external lights on to mark a path at night which throws out a bit of light pollution. But if your purpose is to see the Northern Lights you can get away from the lights easily by going out onto the road. You're in the middle of nowhere so there's nothing around (oh, including no shops, so bring food to cook and eat from a town). Overall a beautiful getaway.

The dog sledding was a dream come true—gliding through snowy forests with the energetic, well-cared-for pedigree huskies was unforgettable.
These animals are happy, loved, and cared for. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and made everything easy and enjoyable. Jaana gave us all the safety information and tips so we could make the most of our sledding, she was kind and an expert. Annie was so kind and genuine and gave us an in depth tour of the kennels and could tell us so much about each individual dog, their likes and dislikes, personality, strengths, quirks and fun facts.
The cozy cabin was perfect, very warm, clean, and beautifully decorated. So many other fun activities to do there which the staff were helpful with. We were even lucky enough to see the northern lights! The hearty Finnish meals at the restaurant were a delightful bonus. An amazing and friendly chef.
This was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation—highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique winter escape. We can’t wait to return!

It was such an authentic and amazing experience. Starting with the road from Rovaniemi to Korvala, very scenic. When we arrived at Korvala (only 40 minutes from Rovaniemi, very good road in the winter time), we could not believe how the place was beautiful, our only regret was not to sleep there at least one day. We did a 12 km morning dawning and it worth every cent we paid in this activity. It will be in our memories forever. The owner and staffs were so kind and friendly. They taught us how to drive the sledge (our first time) and both me and my wife had the opportunity to drive it successfully. The tour is in the middle of a fairy tale forest and as I mentioned above, we enjoyed every second.

We had an amazing time there. The Husky Safari was one of our favourite experiences during our stay in Rovaniemi. Away from the crowds in the middle of the Finnish forest we were able to self-drive our sleigh of husky dogs on a 12km track. A beautiful experience and the dogs were so well trained and cared for. It was evident that this is a family business and each dog gets the care their need. They are treated as a family member. Afterwards we enjoyed a delicious home-cooked lunch of reindeer soup and blueberry cake. We took the bus from Rovaniemi here which took 1 hour and was really easy. We had two hours after the husky ride until the bus came so the son of the family operating the tours and holiday village recommended a private sauna and ice lake swim to us. Very well priced for an hour - 25 Euros with towels. It was an unforgettable experience and a true Finnish experience. Overall we can highly recommend the Husky tour and this place for any other activities and even a stay during a trip to Finnland.

Our stay at the cosy, rustic cabins on this property (which has been within the same family for three generations) was the highlight of our trip to Lapland. Driving a dog sled has been a dream of mine for some time, and Jaana was a thorough and patient instructor. She gave a wonderful tour of the kennels. It's clear that the dogs are well-loved.
In addition to dog-sledding, we also took advantage of the free use of the cross-country skis, used the abundant stack of wood to make several fires, hiked out across the frozen lake to see the stars (no aurora!) and enjoyed preparing food bought at the grocery store in Rovaniemi in the cabin's kitchenette.

A truly magical experience, cabins are small but cosy and so warm even with temperatures at minus 28 they stayed warm, open fire in each cabin just adds to the magic. The place itself is absolutely beautiful snow covered cabins on a frozen lake. We did a husky ride and tour and Jaana was brilliant her knowledge and care for her dogs was amazing. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Can’t recommend enough would definitely stay again.
