I was so impressed by the beautiful location and the friendliness of the staff. Was made to feel so welcome. My little one borrowed a sledge and we hired boots from the hotel. The room was clean and spacious. The location suited us, it is about 20 mins out of town, felt like a retreat after a day of activities. Would stay again.

We were visiting Rovaniemi in july 2024. Stayed at Metsahirvas Hotel in Hirvas. Located 15 min by car south of Rovaniemi. Very nice room with toilet and shower. Rather small but comfy with waterheater and coffee or tea to enjoy. Very friendly staff. Hotel has a small restaurant that serves burgers and pizza. There is water,beers and wines. Ate a pizza with ground meat, smoked reindeermeat and lingonberries. That was recommended by the lady in the bar. It was VERY good and really tasty. Breakfast was quite good with homebaked bread and toasts and a selection of ham, salami, marmalades. Cereals in severeal kinds and also som lettuce and tomsto and cucumber..

Really great hotel and great experience , staff super friendly throughout the hotel , were able to knock up a pasta dish for a fussy 4 year old . Excellent facilities all round and the apartment was very cool . Not a complaint but a way to enhance experience - the hotel pinged me before our trip on Expedia which was great as was able to book airport pickup etc , but would of been great if they had discussed a welcome box for the fridge with some basic groceries as we arrived just after lunch and the hotel restaurant was closed and no bar menu or room service - again not a complaint but adding a reindeer burger and or beef burger to the menu at the restaurant and providing a bar menu / small room service menu of sandwiches / toasties would have easily enhanced the experience overall. Many thanks though to everyone that works here you do have something amazing overall and we had a great time

Such a cozy hotel with the most amazing staff! The food's great, and there is no risk ending up still being hungry after a meal. My room was very nice and tidy, with an amazing view towards the frozen lake. The icing of the cake was being able to enjoy beautiful auroras from the window of my room! A great stay for anyone who appreciates nature and kind people.

This hotel was a delight. It was lovely a quiet away from the more touristy Santa Claus Village and the main town. The staff were always extremely friendly and helpful and eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The apartment was large and spacious with comfortable beds and quality heating. The private sauna was fantastic and got lots of use! Organising tours was very easy and the warm clothing hire accessible at the hotel. Overall our stay was so wonderful, we would love to come back again!

Nicely 30 mins away from the airport/town near beautiful walking paths in the forest on the lake. Lovely breakfast, lovely dinner, really nice rooms and sauna. Super friendly and nice staff who organises everything for you including all the trips (reindeers, huskies, snowmobiles, hikes, airport transfers etc.) and all for reasonable price . Amazing, highly recommended place. I would not stay anywhere else in Lapland

The kindness of the staff deserves 11/10. The hotel has a old feel to it and there is no lift, but aside from this everything is tailored to make the guest feel welcome at every step. The 3 bedroom family apartments are wonderful, new and with sauna, we have gone a family group and it has been great. You don’t need to hire any excursions to see auroras, every night we have seen them from the river bank in front of the hotel, it has been wonderful, the river views are postcard, the sunsets and dreamy sunsets. We'll repeat! The hotel team a 10!!

Very nice and clean hotel in an idyllic setting. very professional team that treats the hotel guests very lovingly and helpfully. All of our wishes were always fulfilled.
