Detailed Reviews
We were greeted promptly upon our arrival at the airport by the glass resort representative. Straightaway, we were ferried in a mini van to the resort within 5 mins. Check in was fast and fuss free. The glass cabin was magical, with a outdoor bath right behind our room. There is a mini kitchenette with kitchen towels provided as well, sauna in the toilet and basic toiletries like shower gel/ shampoo and facial tissue provided.
There is a double sofa bed in the living area and another double bed upstairs. The stairs leading up to the second floor are a bit steep, gota be careful going up and down. Room size arent big but cosy and warm to make you want stay in the room. The boys enjoyed playing snow and sledding outside the cabin. The man had a great time soaking up in the hot tub under the stars! The hotel side also help to arrange a pleasant surprise in the room for our anniversary, flowers , chocolates and flower petals on the bed ( is chargeable though ;) ) and a complimentary bottle of drink. Our booking in inclusive of a 3 course dinner. Aware that we were celebrating our anniversary, the restaurant staff also gave us complimentary drinks to celebrate our special occasion! As the menu is a little exotic, think reindeer meat, elk meat etc The staff is kind enough to offer kid meal to the kids if they do not want the main menu items .
Overall, we had an awesome stay in the glass resort. Service was great and hospitable. Highly recommended for a once in a lifetime experience!

We stayed here for one night in January, weather was delightfully crisp -35 degrees. The cabins are amazing, hot tub, sauna, all amenities you need. Just a little walk to the main reception which serves an amazing breakfast. We had a little problem with the heating but a phone call to the reception and an electrician came out to sort it. We arrived very early in the morning on the Santa express overnight train, my girlfriend had not been well during the trip and although we couldn’t check in early to our cabin the reception provided us with a room for her to rest. We would LOVE to stay again. A shuttle bus is provided to and from the train station and is cheaper than the taxis available.

There's so many 'unique' accommodation options in the area, however as we only had our car for part of our trip and were flying our of Rovaniemi we decided to stay at the Glass Resort based on the excellent reviews and close to airport location.
Easy to book online, and great pre-arrival communications from staff answering our queries.
Our driver picked us up in a 'luxury' minibus at the time we booked and was extremely friendly and offered lots of advice. We arrived at the Glass Resort, and alothough earlier than checkin time, were quickly handed our key and the driver loaded our suitcases on to a sledge and pulled them to our accomodation.
I'd previously emailed to ask for room 7B, and they'd kindly given us this room.
Upon arrival our driver took us around the back of the igloo to show us how to use the hot tub. He then took us inside and showed us the essentials of our room.
Wow! It is just stunning!
You enter and on the left was a large bathroom with toilet, shower and sauna (the shower has aromatherapy oils when you start it).
There is a kitchenette with coffee maker, fridge, hob, kettle, dishwasher, crockery, glasses, cups amd plastic ware for use outside. There is also a small wardrobe for clothes which had three robes, three pairs of slippers and a safe. There is a tablet that you can use to order room service or essential items and also chat to reception.
You then walk through to the 'living area" with full floor to sky windows. There is a chair, dining table for four people, sofa bed and a TV. A spiral staircase takes you up to the main bedroom, with a large velux window and the most stunning views from the glass windows. There's even a button to press in the room to clear Snow from the windows.
Sadly it was too cloudy both nights for us to see the Northern lights however it was still a mesmerising experience laying in bed looking out at the beautiful Finnish scenery.
The outside hot tub was amazing, there's something wonderful about sitting in a hot tub surrounded by snow, watching the reindeer pull the sledges behind you.
We booked on the DB&B rate at the Gallis restaurant (reviewed separately). The restaurant is beautifully decorated, small and intimate with floor to ceiling glass windows. Breakfast consisted of half a dozen hot options, from memory sausages, bacon, eggs, pancakes and porridge. There was also lots of cheeses, hams, pastries, muffins, cake cereal, yoghurt, sourdough bread (which I overheard them say was made in house), jams, honeys, and a few location Finnish delicacies. It was a great selection and tasted amazing!
This was a bucket list experience for me and it exceeded my expectation. I would highly recommend staying at the Glass Resort to anyone looking for a unique stay when visiting Finland.

We arrived at the resort quite late in the evening minus all five suitcases that failed to make the journey with us (four adults and a five year old). The staff were wonderful and took us to a local market and waited while we stocked up on clothing etc before taking us back to the resort. Nothing was too much trouble.
The accommodation was quite simply magnificent and spotlessly clean with a bathroom and sauna, separate fully equipped kitchen and a good sized lounge area. The bedroom was upstairs with a super comfy bed with glass roof above and slippers and dressing gowns were supplied.
The hot tub was a firm favourite of our grandson and we couldn't keep him out of it!
The site is not huge which made it more personal and it was easy to walk to our accommodation, ie, not trying to wade through deep snow. It was within easy walking distance of Santa Claus Village but it felt miles away and so very peaceful.
The restaurant was wonderfully relaxing and the food delicious with a good children's menu and Asha, our waitress, was just lovely. We were made to feel so welcome.
We spent three nights before moving to other accommodation for the final two nights. We did not want to leave and wished so much that we'd stayed all five nights at the Glass Resort.

Everything is so fine and exclusive here. We are warmly greeted by the reception and she took effort in explaining to us on the facilities on the resort. The rest of the staff we encountered throughout our stay is very friendly as well.
The room is spacious, spotless and new!!! We especially love the jacuzzi outside our room.
Breakfast is yummy and have lots of variety. They do provide private van to town at Euro25. We find it okay as it is pretty much the same as we take a cab.
Overall, worth every single penny!

The stay lived up to and exceeded my expectations, often photos give an enhanced image of real life but somehow Glass Resort was better in the flesh.
It had the wow factor as we walked in and it just kept getting better. We booked the airport transport and Nathan was very welcoming and sorted our luggage to our apartment, he also bought the drinks we ordered and made us feel like the only guests he was looking after.
We pre-ordered a cheese platter and it was waiting for us in out apartment on arrival. The portion size was spot on and a good selection of cheese and biscuits.
They have thought of everything, the tablets in the room to allow you to communicate with the reception and order your drinks, the lantern inside the door to get to the hot tub, and the kitchen is perfectly equipped. The bed was really comfortable and we slept well.
Location is also perfect, it’s enough out of the Santa Claus village that you forget you are there but very short walking distance.
Breakfast is in the main restaurant and it’s a beautiful view, there was a wide selection of food and anywhere serving chocolate treats for breakfast gets my vote.
I highly recommend Glass Resort if you are after a luxurious treat.

What a perfect, perfect stay! Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night, but it was one of the highlights of our whole holiday.
We arrived in Rovaniemi early, by overnight train, and were greeted with a genuine smile and warmth as we arrived in the early morning darkness. As expected our villa was not ready, but they held our bags as we went to explore Santa's Village. Later in the day we went back to check in, and found that our bags had already been placed in our room and were waiting, the hot tub was heated, and the villa was warm inside.
What a fantastic space!! A massive double storey glazed wall and ceiling give the most dramatic aspect out to the snowy forest beyond. And a heated ceiling can be activated to clear snow as it falls, so that your view to the sky remains uninterrupted! The room is spacious yet cosy, with a decent sized bathroom including a sauna. The hot tub outside is secluded and private, with an aspect to the trees, but not able to be easily seen by other guests.
Needless to say, everything was meticulously clean and well presented. I enjoyed that pod coffee was provided, and a welcome drink was left in our room on arrival. The bed was super comfortable, and laying in bed in the loft space gazing up at the sky was a special experience.
Another fantastic aspect of the stay was the quality of the dining experience, with our room rate including a 3 course dinner at Glass Restaurant, as well as the most amazing buffet breakfast. The staff that served us at dinner were a delight, and clearly enjoyed their job.
We had hoped that we may have a lovely view of the Northern Lights from our room, but it was quite cloudy and snowy. This made for a very different experience, and one that we thoroughly enjoyed. In Finland, you cannot rely on the weather, so go with an attitude to make the most of whatever Mother Nature serves you.
Finally, check out was made so easy, with our bags being collected from our room, and a complementary transfer to the airport with the most lovely guy. We had a great chat - I wish I could remember his name.
All in all, this is a very expensive place to stay, but an experience that is so worth every Euro. Stay for as many nights as you can. I wished we had stayed more than the single night we did. Oh well, we know where we will be staying should we ever visit Lapland again!

The resort is new, second season in operation. Everything is of excellent quality with stylish minimalistic Finnish design. Every "iglo" is detached with glass roof upstair double bedroom and downstairs sofabed. And your own kitchenette with dishwasher fridge. You have a great finnish sauna for yourself and outdoor jaccuzzi. All furniture and fittings of high standard. The greatest surprise and hidden gem of the hotel is the restaurant!,It does not look very inviting but the food was excellent and tasty both for breakfast and dinner- absolutely worth trying!

I took my wife here for a one night stay as a birthday surprise. After check-in we went to the Christmas Village; among other things we had a reindeer ride which was great and for sure will be remembered. The Village is just a short walk away and has a great Christmas spirit/atmosphere. We wanted to stay most of the time at the cabin and enjoy the awesome amenities. Sauna and the jacuzzi outisde is just wonderful. Sipping champagne in the jacuzzi and looking at the stars we'll remember rest of our lives. We decided to order Pizza in the cabin through Wolt (food delivery service app) and had purchased a bottle of red wine earlier, this was a great decision as we were so impressed with the cabin itself and didn't want to leave. Staff was great and pickup service from and to the airport was well arranged. This was expensive but at the same time one of our most memorable experiences. Recommended!

We really cant rate our stay at the Glass Resort highly enough. 10/10 on every count. Accommodation, staff and food all first class. Our driver was waiting at the airport for a very quick transfer and our room was ready early which meant we could relax and enjoy the holiday straight away. The apartments glass walls and roof are amazing, lying in bed watching the trees, snowfall and stars is an experience we will never forget and the private sauna and hot tub is absolute luxury. Everywhere spotless and beautifully furnished. And a special tribute to all the staff we met who were friendly, polite and so helpful which just made our stay so special. Thank you to everyone at Glass Resort.

We didn't have any problems, with showers for two adults each morning.
