This hotel completely exceeded our expectations- on checking in, walking past the resident reindeers we found our room to be split on 2 levels with 2 bathrooms. Plenty of storage space. The views were amazing from the large windows. The room was warm and clean with tea & coffee making facilities. Hotel wifi was available in the room and the sauna was an added bonus. The hotel is in a perfect location less than a 5 min walk from the Santa village and about a 5min drive from the airport our taxi was €25. We borrowed sledges from reception which was a hit with the kids. Breakfast had enough options to cover all tastes. We ate at the hotel for our evening meal which was very nice and they had a childrens menu - my only gripe was the brownie which worked out at €4 per spoonful it was that small! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay at the Santa village.

We totally loved the cozy, new & contemporary decor of the Aurora suite, the stunning views of the surroundings from the skylight windows, and having our own sauna in our suite.
The location was perfect, within 5min drive to airport, 10min drive to Rovaniemi city and right next to Santa Village. Parking was super easy and free.
All the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was tasty, plenty. We enjoyed saying hello to the 2 resident reindeers every day which were outside the reception /restaurant area. The hotel was surrounded by beautiful forest and snow and it was just magical to be able to walk around and enjoy nature. We would love to come back again soon!

We stayed at the Nova Skyland in December. Overall I was very impressed with the room. There was plenty of space for a family of four. The location was excellent, right next to Santa's village. Everything was new and well designed (apart from the light switches which completely defeated me). The restaurant was ok but prone to being overloaded at lunchtime with bus tours and the menu was monotonous even after three days.
I would also ask that they need to look at the service levels - they were completely inflexible on check out times and the room cleaning was sub-standard.

We booked our stay just before it was announced that all restaurants should be closed, we arrived to almost empty Santa village, but Nova hotel team made our trip very comfortable and full of adventures. We booked directly cottage winter package including Huskey farm, Aurora borealis picnic, restaurant dinner and transfer. Hotel representative contacted us and proposed different options and timings within our 3 days stay. As far as any dining was prohibited, only take away, hotel staff organised amazing breakfast directly to our cottage, restaurant dinner and picnic part were also replaced by great dinners to our cottage. It made our stay with small kid outstanding, because there was no any place to find good food at all (only open places were fast food burgers and pizza for take way and Shell station), so big thanks to Nova team - Melody, Eric and Mikko for the attitude and our great days in Lapland. We also had cool visit to Huskey farm, even though it was not our first visit to such farms, this one was great, almost 40 dogs, so different, thanks to Inka and Jussi for visiting and sledge riding! Our Borealis safari was also great even though we were not lucky to meet it, we had many other activities while waiting on fresh air! Thanks to all of you, will strongly recommend to my friends!

Amazing hotel with all you could possibly want. Close to everything going on. Lovely and clean and the staff and super friendly and helpful.
I can’t praise this hotel enough we had everything we could have wanted and location was perfect with 5 mins drive from airport and 5 min walk to Santa Claus village.
Only couple of slight negatives:
1. We couldn’t adjust the temperature in our room and had to keep calling reception to do. Which they did very kindly sort out but the first couple of nights it was hot but then we sorted it.
2. Pillows and duvets are very soft and flat so we struggled with these but this is personal preference.
3. Not much food selection in general but this was due to it being a quiet week and covid.
If your are looking for food the Shell garage opposite the hotel was a great place for home cooked food.
The above negatives are only personal preference and I can’t fault the hotel at all.
Def recommend to others.

At the edge of Santa Claus village and the forest this is a really relaxing location, within 3 minutes walk of the "centre". We had breakfast at an outside location and staff on-site was rare in the summer, but no other points against. Nice and clean, has sauna, large screen for the kids etc.

My sister, nephew and I stayed just after Xmas, nephew was incredibly ill when we arrived and the staff where amazing, so helpful and understanding and helped where they could. Melody was amazing all throughout the stay.
We stayed in the new sky suite, they had amazing views, and beautifully done, with gorgeous views. The restaurant was amazing!! We loved every meal there, the breakfast included was beautiful.great service by the servers there, kudos to the chef!
It was in a great location to the village as well.
The only things we thought could be addressed was the fact there wasn’t laundry service and there were no direct phone lines to reception. Some Of the fixtures in the room (e.g shower head was loose/broken) the curtain kept falling off the rod, missing bottle openers etc, just a couple of small attention to detail missing but is often the case with a new facility and am sure these will be worked out and a matter of personal preference also I guess!
Thank you nova skyland for a magical stay. A definite thumbs up recommendation, I have two friends already keen visit there!

We stayed at Nova Skyland from 5-7 Jan 2022. The 2-story apartment was spacious and modern. One of the nicest hotel rooms we've ever stayed in. The staff was friendly and made us feel very welcome. Despite the pandemic, we managed to travel to several countries in the EU in the past 2 years and the hospitality extended to us here was the best so far. Even with the relatively high price, as compared to other accommodations in that area, it is well worth the money spent. We made the right choice in choosing this luxurious treat for the family and will definitely choose to come back to this hotel if we were to ever visit Rovaniemi again.

First, the good things: This property is situated right in Santa Claus village and the room interiors are done well. But, unfortunately it ends here. There's nothing more that you can write good about this property. I stayed at one of their higher category rooms (Nordic cottage) for 5 nights and had some of my worst holiday experiences ever. To name a few: 1. My room had absolutely no view. All I had was to stare at was rest of the hotel building. That's seemingly the case with most rooms. 2. The sales/ marketing does a wonderful job of convincing you that this the best place but the ground staff at hotel is absolutely careless of the guests. I was assured (multiple times) that their restaurant serves a 'variety' of options in chicken because me/ my family eat no other meat except chicken. We landed at the hotel on 24th Dec evening and having booked for the special Christmas dinner we were terribly disappointed when we saw no option for us to eat. No chicken and very little / nothing in veg. I understand the menu was set up per the liking of the majority of their Guests and I was ok with that but the worst part was how the staff reacted when I spoke to them about our concern. It was just "this is all we got and the kitchen is busy so we can not accommodate any request even if you are willing to pay for your special request ". Further, I accepted this as well and requested the reception to at least guide me about which restaurants existed near the property etc. But again, the staff was 'busy' so could only help me with a map of that place encouraging me to explore on my own at -16°C. We were coming from a long flight and albeit tired we decided to find out places on our own. Next, we realised all places in thr vicinity close at 6.00pm (seemingly that's common in Santa Claus village) and after a lot of search in the cold weather we finally landed at a gas station serving 24hr meal for our Christmas grand dinner!! Heck if the staff could have at least made me aware of the fact that restaurants close by this time and guided me directly to the right place I could have forgived them for everything else. 3. More nagging issues like my room door was not getting locked easily and took some real skills in cold weather to lock it. Next the chromecast for my TV never worked and could not be fixed for 5 days seemingly even though the hotel staff tried 'multiple times' and they did not have any extras too .. small issues, but the way the staff was reacting to them was a surprise.. they were absolutely cool that stuff didn't work - as if that's a norm. No Apologies and no concerns..
I could go on but in short these guys don't get 'H' of hospitality. There are a tons of better options in vicinity so avoid this place if you do not want to ruin your vacation

Zero flexibility even given the Threat of Russian aggression in the region. We booked a room for a March 10-13, 2022. We cancelled the booking on March 3rd given the escalation of Russian aggression in the region and heated verbal exchanges between Finland and Russia. The cancellation policy grace period expired that same date at 3pm but given time zone difference we cancelled a few hours past the local time. Expedia advocated for the $1,200 refund and they refused. We advocated for a date change authorization to same dates next year and they refused. I find it unconscionable that the hotel offered zero flexibility given the circumstances.
