In contrast to the meticulously designed accommodation and nest-like cosiness, the panoramic views from the windows provide impressive spectacles of the forest and Arctic skies: the Northern Lights and Midnight Sun can be admired from the comfort of your bed. Our exceptional Rakas Restaurant & Bar serves culinary delights made from Arctic ingredients.

A belated 30th present from my husband which ended up falling on my 31st birthday instead because of covid! I had saw this hotel on KUWTK a few years back and has been on my bucket list ever since. Since failed northern lights trip to Iceland in 2017 I was determined to see them here in Lapland! And they did not disappoint!! I was crying with happiness when the sky lit up! The hotel is fabulous! A gorgeous lodge feel with the most luxurious edge. Log fires, hot toddys, special teas. It really was the most perfect winter trip and the most amazing 30th birthday present! My in laws are staying here December 2022 following our gleaming recommendations! Such a unique and picturesque hotel I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to stay at!

Stayed with my wife at the Arctic TreeHouse Hotel in Feb 2022. The entire property was incredibly beautiful, including our room, which had an amazing view. Food at the restaurant was creative and delicious, and service was excellent for our entire stay. Absolutely no complaints and would recommend to anybody.

It looks lovely in the picture but was garbage. There is no saunas in the rooms even the 450 Euro per night. Tiny additional beds (see attached photos) Had to wait 20 minutes for breakfast. No service and tables were left a mess (photo) Hairs from previous guest on the bed and cigarettes left at the front (photo) Stairs very steep and slippery to rooms. Older people would struggle I know people travel a considerable distance to see these place so it is worth booking an Air bnb or apartment in Riovenami

We visited the Arctic Tree House hotel for our honeymoon and it is hands down the best hotel we’ve stayed at. The nests were so cosy and the view was incredible. The staff were friendly and helpful, it felt like a home away from home. The food in the Rakas restaurant was delicious and I would recommend having the tasting menu. I would 100% go again and feel like it’s spoilt every other hotel for me!

The Arctic Tree House hotel is absolutely Wonderful! So peaceful and calm environment. Waking up with the beautiful huge window on the nature is priceless. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights from our room as well. We had an unforgettable time. All the staff is lovely and very helpful and the food is amazing! Thank you so much ❤️

The hotel is wonderful & all the staff are great and very helpful. we stayed at a GlassHouse for four nights, I have tried many beds in luxuries hotels well known for their comfy beds but NONE of them compete the beds in this hotel, the accommodation is very clean, cosy and equipped with all necessary items, it has a sauna, a fireplace, and a kitchenette & I highly recommend this hotel.

We spent 4 nights at the Arctic Treehouse and had an absolutely wonderful stay. The staff is extremely attentive and helpful, the Rakas Restaurant is amazing, and the setting is stunning. On our second night we were treated to an unexpected showing of the Aurora Borealis that lasted nearly the entire night, allowing us to enjoy the display from outside and from the comfort of our bed. As an example of what the staff will do going above and beyond, we approached them as we were walking around when the Northern Lights began and asked if there was somewhere on the property that was a little darker than the rest where we could enjoy it more. The young man at the front desk immediately hopped into one of the hotel’s vans and took us to an overflow parking lot a few hundred feet away that did the trick just fine. The hotel will not honor specific requests for room assignments, but we will tell you that the farther upslope you are, the better your views will be out your window if you are fortunate enough to see a Northern Lights display. The only way to assure that is to treat yourself to one of their three ArcticScene Executive Suites, which are in the uppermost row of cabins – you’ll probably enjoy the extra room. If you are going to Lapland to be quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of a town, this is your place. There is little to do on the hotel property itself other than enjoy the restaurant and the Northern Lights. You may feel too isolated unless you arrange a number of professionally run activities during your stay, and the hotel is very good about getting you booked for these activities. We took part in the following, and have some thoughts on each: Rakas Restaurant – The restaurant itself is the best in the area (it’s more than that, it’s a great restaurant by any standard). The staff was very accommodating to let us in for an early breakfast, for example, for the mornings where we had an early pickup for an activity or the morning we had to get to the airport. They let us in early while they were setting up just to get a quick bite. Also, don’t miss their six-courst tasting menu with wine pairings, it’s really something special. Reindeer Rides – “Along the Reindeer Path” – We enjoyed this a lot, mainly because of the knowledge of our host who passed on a lot of information about the surrounding area and about raising Reindeers, as she and her family are active reindeer herders themselves. This is an activity, though, that is more suited to and more likely to be enjoyed by groups with young children (which we did not have any of with us). Private Dinner "The Lappish Romance"-- This was actually a very nice private dinner in a traditional “kota” – a structure that looks much like a teepee. Just bundle up when you go, because the structure is kind of drafty, but they keep a roaring fire going while you are inside. The menus are very basic, but great. Bearhill's “Call of the Wild” Husky Adventure – Far and away the best thing we did during our stay (or on any vacation ever, truly). After some brief training, you head out on a 15 to 20 kilometer ride through forests and across frozen lakes. Fun and thrilling! We had a morning trek, so the sun rose while we were out, glimmering pink and orange through the trees, low in the sky. Stunning. You move at a fairly quick pace, but the ride itself is about 1.5 hours in length. After the ride, you get to play with the huskies, which is a great part of the adventure. One word of caution: they assign two people per sled, one seated inside, the other standing on the back of the sled “driving”; being the driver is NOT a passive experience, it requires a certain amount of stamina, strength and energy, you are not simply “along for the ride” while driving. Discover the Northern Lights Photography Tour – We went on the tour, but the night was overcast and we could not find any “holes in the sky”. That’s just life, you have to schedule in advance and you don’t get your money back if you don’t see the lights – you are dealing with natural phenomena that can’t be guaranteed. Dinner at Ice Restaurant – We tried to book this, but it was sold out until well after we were gone, so if you want to do this, make sure you reserve early. All in all, a great trip. Our only negatives were that we had difficulty communicating with the staff in advance of our arrival (we started our stay with them around January 13). They are incredibly busy, it seems, during the run up to Christmas and the period between then and New Years Day, it is their busiest period of the year, so expect to go a few days, perhaps, without a response. They will ultimately get back, but it’s best to arrange your stay and activities before this busy period begins or after it is over. Also, the property is very well lit, we understand it’s a safety concern for them to do so, but it would be nice if they could find a way to turn off or dim some of the lights when an Aurora display is going on – it would make a dramatic event even more special.

The stay in the hotel was very nice. We stayed in the Family room (Glasshouse) and it was comfortable and cosy. The pictures are quite close to reality so there was no disappointment. The view of the Glasshouse was always good and the staff extremely friendly and attentive. They helped us lit the fireplace and also closely following up on our requests. They even drive you from the premises to the room since it is a bit uphill (worth the walk though). With regards to the breakfast, it had variety and it was well executed. I would have added more elements of the local cuisine though. They nicely allowed for a late checkout out free of cost as well. Worth to visit!

Enjoyable stay in a well run hotel- best hotel in town Great in house restaurant Instagram worthy whatssap service chat that is v well manned Decent heated floors Room temperature can Be adjusted by reception upon request Only gripe is the curtains are not blackout - a bit of a problem when there is a perimeter light outside - ideally request a room that does not have a light outside your window
