I stayed one night with friends, walking the Camino from Mont St Michel. This small establishment is located in the old centre of an attractive small town close by the church and town hall. Claire is a charming hostess and a very good cook. The rooms are comfortably and tastefully decorated. My bedroom (with a double and single bed) had... More

Antrain is a lovely town and we enjoyed a one night stop on the way back to the Tunnel. A charming house with lots of parking nearby. Our room had a terrace but the stairs would be a little challenging for some. It was spotlessly clean with a super French breakfast in the morning, my husband loved the homemade preserves!... More

A 5th or 6th visit to Antrain for the singing festival nearby. Lovely stay at Claire's, bread, brioche and home made jam and yoghurt, an occasional surprise (pain perdu is wonderful) and also lovely four course dinners with wine for a very good price. Claire is the perfect host and does all she can to make us welcome.

La Maison de Claire is NOT a hotel, so don't expect to find a fancy foyer, uniformed receptionist and myriad facilities. It is a simply excellent chambre d'hote with good sized, comfortable, sparklingly clean rooms. Perhaps these can be found in many chambres d'hote, but what I doubt you will find bettered anywhere, at any price, is the genuine warmth... More

We chose this B&B from the Internet but the pictures do not begin to show the real charm of the place.. Claire is a lovely lady who made is feel hugely welcome on our stop over on the way down from St Malo. We stayed in the Romantique room which was beautiful, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was home made and... More

I have stayed at La Maison de Claire for 10 days in each of the last four years. Why I never thought to write a review I don't know! Claire's is wonderful. The guest house is her home, it feels like a family home - and a quirky one at that. It is full of interesting furniture, pictures and objects.... More
