If you are looking for one of the best places in Lapland you have to visit Kotatuli homelodgning! Landing in Kittila airport is already a beatutiful adventure. You wil see the huge forests everywhere and trees with a lot of snow on top, the frozen lakes and an amazing clear light in the sky. During the trip to Kotatuli homelodgning with our rent a car you we had the feeling to drive trough a scene of a documentary from David Attenbourough! Once we arrived at the lodge the staff welcomed us very friendly, showing us our place to sleep and the full accomodation. In the morning Katja and her helper prepared us a great breakfast with perfect coffee. After our excurtions during day time we enjoyed the typical Finish sauna with wood oven to get warm again. When ever we wanted we could enter the owners living room to have a nice chat with them and to ask about what to do in the surroundings. We had a rendeer tour, ice fishing, snow shoe trip, a husky tour, a snowscooter safari and even icekarting. The ice gallery is also one of the highlights in the neighberhood. There are some perfect restaurants (a little bit expensive) but if you want you can also go to different perfect hamburger restaurants for a smaler budget. By the way, if you want a typical Finish meal ask Katja to cook it for you. Just perfect and not expensive at all! Jonnie, the husband of Katja is doiing mostly the outside jobs, like feeding the horses and their beautiful friendly dogs. Any how, for us it was an unforgetable adventure and we are intending to go back for sure! Thank you very much dear Katja, Jonnie and the full staff! Willy and Dino from partly Belgium and Lachania in Rhodes-Greece…
