Very nice accomodation (sauna included) with view on the frozen Inari Lake. Staff was very friendly and always eager to help! They even sent back a lost item we left there when leaving Inari. Top vacation!
Great service!. The location is very nice, superior rooms have a beautiful lake view. Sauna in the room is awesome. As we had a late arrival to the hotel from a hiking trip in the wilderness, everything was prepared by the staff as per our wishes! Thanks to Riikka!
Well kept hotel with a good location. Easy to travel to the surrounding sights from this hotel, grocery stores near by and nice lake front location. Clean and comfy rooms (with wifi), friendly staff and good breakfast. Good blackout curtains in the room; the sun shines 24/7 during summer so it's a bit too light to sleep without blackout curtains. I would stay again One can also buy the Lake Inari cruise tickets from the reception
When traveling alone in Northern Lapland with a dog it is not always easy to find nice accommodation. In this hotel there was a very nice room available, with own entrance and even own sauna. The room was located in a new building next to the hotel. I could easily hear people speaking in the room next door, which was surprising in such a new building. The extra fee for pets was reasonable, 15 euros (some hotels charge even 50 euros per stay). Unlike many other hotels, dogs were not allowed in the reception area. Because of this rule, I had to do some extra running in and out with and without the dog, and it was raining, so I did not feel very welcome when arriving. All and all the service was polite but not especially friendly. The breakfast was fresh and ok. The way the breakfast buffet was situated in the restaurant could have been better from COVID perspective - the buffet was very crowded most of the time. Four stars for the very nice and new room and charging possibility for my hybrid car.…
Pros- We stayed 2 nights in the cottage with lake view and aurora hut. On the first night we saw aurora. The position of the rooms are such that you see north even lights from your room. Being an aurora enthusiast, we went out. The cottage is cozy and really comfortable and accommodate 2-3 people. Basic utensils and cutlery was there. The kitchen had electric kettle and coffee maker, a fridge, electric stove for cooking but misses out on the oven which is okay. The aurora hut is luxurious and on a clear dark night, one can stay in the bed an watch aurora dancing. The breakfast in the hotel was good but nothing out of the ordinary. The view from the restaurant however was stunning Things that can be improved- The bathroom was spacious and nice. However, they put the same hand soap for washing hand as shower gel, which might be a human error and can be easily sorted out. As it snowed a lot over night, there was huge amount of fresh snow in front of the door but there was no shovel or brush to clear the snow. These don't cost much but these tiny things makes a lot of difference…
Good access. Even though there is no airport shuttle now due to the current COVID19 situation, there were a few public bus until the hotel from the bus stop near the Ivalo airport (30 min walk from the airport) or from Ivalo city center. Good breakfast. Good location for aurora hunting.
The hotel from outside looks not very exceptional, but all is inside. The room with the lake view and sauna was adorable. We did not wanted to leave. All in the room was just in place and nothing was missing, tea, coffee, WiFi, all amenities, etc. No complaints. The personnel is amazing, super friendly and helpful. We had many questions and got much more answers and attention. The restaurant in the hotel deserves separate mentioning. It was just outstanding. Dinner from local food (white fish and reindeer, plus desert) was just piece of diamonds in our plates: both in taste and view. It is highly highly recommended to try.
Really flexible and good customer service even though we were late from summer evening service time. We got seaplane place right front of resort, so excellent place for aviatiors as well! Thank you Visit Inari!
I visited Inari early March 2020 and chose Hotel Inari because of both price and location. I wanted to stay in Inari Village, with the Sámi Parliament (Sajos), the Sámi Museum (Siida), and grocery stores - a real town, if small, and center of Finnish Sámi culture. Hotel Inari was convenient to all these places. I stayed in the building behind the main building. It was a short walk across the parking area to the main building and restaurant. I ate at the hotel morning and evening, but there are also other places to eat in town. The hotel’s buffet breakfast had everything I usually eat; I had the same meal every evening, (good salmon soup and rye bread), so can’t comment generally on the menu. Staff were all very pleasant, and I met many interesting guests. The one thing I did miss was a lift. It was slow going hefting my luggage up and down the stairs (but the lake view from my room was worth the climb). My good-sized room was clean, the bathroom was updated, and I had a sauna. Wifi worked well. Hotel Inari is the same company as the terrific next-door outfitter, and you can book activities through the hotel or over at the shop. The hotel is on the lake shore, so it was only a short walk to ski with skis rented at the outfitter; and I also booked various excursions and activities for every day. As I didn’t want a car, I took the shuttle from/to the airport in Ivalo. (Easy. I booked ahead.) I walked everywhere in town. Even though snow-covered, sidewalks were wide and walkable, taking the usual winter precautions.…
From flight, to accommodation, service .....to weather everything went very well. Our long WE spent @ the Inari hotel was perfect. We even managed to see the famous Nordic Lights from the window of our room!
