Pros-

We stayed 2 nights in the cottage with lake view and aurora hut. On the first night we saw aurora. The position of the rooms are such that you see north even lights from your room. Being an aurora enthusiast, we went out.
The cottage is cozy and really comfortable and accommodate 2-3 people. Basic utensils and cutlery was there. The kitchen had electric kettle and coffee maker, a fridge, electric stove for cooking but misses out on the oven which is okay.
The aurora hut is luxurious and on a clear dark night, one can stay in the bed an watch aurora dancing.
The breakfast in the hotel was good but nothing out of the ordinary. The view from the restaurant however was stunning

Things that can be improved-
The bathroom was spacious and nice. However, they put the same hand soap for washing hand as shower gel, which might be a human error and can be easily sorted out.
As it snowed a lot over night, there was huge amount of fresh snow in front of the door but there was no shovel or brush to clear the snow. These don't cost much but these tiny things makes a lot of difference

When traveling alone in Northern Lapland with a dog it is not always easy to find nice accommodation. In this hotel there was a very nice room available, with own entrance and even own sauna. The room was located in a new building next to the hotel. I could easily hear people speaking in the room next door, which was surprising in such a new building.

The extra fee for pets was reasonable, 15 euros (some hotels charge even 50 euros per stay). Unlike many other hotels, dogs were not allowed in the reception area. Because of this rule, I had to do some extra running in and out with and without the dog, and it was raining, so I did not feel very welcome when arriving. All and all the service was polite but not especially friendly.

The breakfast was fresh and ok. The way the breakfast buffet was situated in the restaurant could have been better from COVID perspective - the buffet was very crowded most of the time.

Four stars for the very nice and new room and charging possibility for my hybrid car.

The location is perfect for Winter holiday, directly on the shore of Lake Inari. The shop directly next to the hotel, where you can rent all types of sports gear (Safari), was very convenient. Also Service at the reception was very nice, we got a lot of tipps on where to go cross country skiing and snowshoe hiking.
The food in the restaurant was good, although the service was really slow - took more than 1h to get 2 servings of Salmon soup. Worth the wait, but plan some time ;-)...
Also we liked our room with the private Sauna a lot. Unfortunately the Sauna did not get very hot. Apart from that the room was comfy, modern, warm and clean.
All in all very good choice for a winter trip to Lappland.

When we arrived from the Ivalo airport, we were greeted by the driver who bring us to the small town. He dropped us the luggages then we bring our belongings to the Reception counter. Reception is attentive and provide the necessary hotel information to us. The hotel is separate to the main building and separate building. The separate building just need to turn around about 2 minutes walking distance. We stayed here for 4 nights. The room bedding is too soft and movable with the sauna room in toilet. The sauna is not in function at all time. My room can see the lake view but unfortunately everyday is too cloudy so we can’t see the Aurora. The breakfast is average but the location is excellent in the town. The tour center, souvenir store, Museum and supermarket just nearby.

Well kept hotel with a good location. Easy to travel to the surrounding sights from this hotel, grocery stores near by and nice lake front location.
Clean and comfy rooms (with wifi), friendly staff and good breakfast. Good blackout curtains in the room; the sun shines 24/7 during summer so it's a bit too light to sleep without blackout curtains.

I would stay again

One can also buy the Lake Inari cruise tickets from the reception

The hotel from outside looks not very exceptional, but all is inside. The room with the lake view and sauna was adorable. We did not wanted to leave. All in the room was just in place and nothing was missing, tea, coffee, WiFi, all amenities, etc. No complaints. The personnel is amazing, super friendly and helpful. We had many questions and got much more answers and attention. The restaurant in the hotel deserves separate mentioning. It was just outstanding. Dinner from local food (white fish and reindeer, plus desert) was just piece of diamonds in our plates: both in taste and view. It is highly highly recommended to try.

We stayed on our northern lights tour and we were very impressed with the service and the room which overlooked the lake and had a sauna. Breakfast was amazing and so was dinner. Prices are reasonable. In the morning when we were checking out we asked if there is a transport service to museum which is 15 min walk but my husband has injured his ankle and was finding it hard to walk. . The guy on the reception offered to drive us in his car then we found out he was the owner and he was the kindest gentle person you can ever meet. So we highly recommend this hotel for the service and the view and the rooms

It stayed here during a solo motorbike trip to Nordkapp and got my first taste of the Midsummer night Sun here. The surrounding landscape is epic and the hotel is on the edge of a beautiful lake reflecting the sun all night. Staff were friendly, room was cozy, clean, warm and quiet. The additional blackout blinds help keeping the sun out at night! Great location, great hotel.

Good access. Even though there is no airport shuttle now due to the current COVID19 situation, there were a few public bus until the hotel from the bus stop near the Ivalo airport (30 min walk from the airport) or from Ivalo city center. Good breakfast. Good location for aurora hunting.

i would have give a zero rating for this hotel. No elevators for elderly and if you need someone to bring your heavy luggage, you need to book a porter in advance. Stayed in many many different hotels in different parts of the world but no hotel charges 5 euro for an extra towel except this lousy inari hotel. Definitely coming back to finland but not to this hotel. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

It depends what time of the year you go. Typically 535 MYR to 675 MYR per night. Personally we shall not be visiting this hotel again. But the village and surrounding area are superb.

Hello. To the best of my knowledge I do not think there are bus links at this time of year. You do not mention how long the cruise pause is however if you are talking a couple of days or more it may be worth hiring a car from Kirkenes and driving to Inari, it takes between 2 and half and 3 hours. Hope this helps a bit.
Answer from Visit Inari
