Had a look at this and another camp site in the village. The other was busy, too busy. This was empty. I think I now know why. On arrival, I had a walk round and this man was rudely shouting as me. I assumed he was a stuck up moody campervan owner or something. The reception was ok but the woman (assuming now to be rude mans wife) wasn’t very welcoming and didn’t look bothered about anything. I asked about the sauna and I felt like I was imposing. Only 2 showers and 1 toilet. Lucky for me campsite was empty. It does have a lovely water front location though if you can put up with these rude owners. I later saw the old man who was shouting as me go into the house with the woman. Manners cost nothing. Unlike your €20 a night plus €15 sauna for a small tent. I won’t be returning or recommending. Also, there are ‘don’t do this’ and ‘do this signs’ everywhere on scrappy bits of paper.

Rented a cabin because the place I wanted to go to was unavailable until the next day. Cabin was spacious enough, but the bathroom was small. For the same price you can rent a much better cabin nearby.

The lakeside location was very beautiful and suitable for watching the Northern Lights. There were only, I believe, another couple staying at this off-peak season. It was a nice and quiet place. However if you're coming by bus, make doubly sure you know where to get off, or pray that the driver is friendly enough to tell you where, or else you might have trouble getting to the campsite if you end up in the village centre with a lot of luggage in the night,as happened to me. Cabin 3 was clean, warm and cosy and good value for money. The only inconvenience was having to walk from the cabin to the showers, toilet and kitchen for water in the cold weather but like I said, with the price I paid, I can't complain and it is a campsite after all. Pentti and her husband were very helpful with my requests, and her husband patiently set me up with a bike that was suitable for my height which made getting to the village centre faster. They were also very prompt responding to email booking and questions. In conclusion, a great find!

We stayed for 2 nights in small " hobitt " cabin no: 3 .It was warm and the roof did not leak :) but there is no doubt that the cabin has at some point suffered from humidity because there smelled mold. Cabin does not have any ventilation. We could not open the window for fresh air because there was so many mosquitos. Mosquito net in front of the window would have helped but it was missing . Fridge in the cabin is noisy. I didn't mind for paying 20 cents of 3 minutes of water in shower. It made me think how much clean water we are spending in shower :) About the staff, at first they didn't speak much nor smiled but eventually we chatted with them a lot and they were friendly. I think that the lady in reception is just a bit shy...and mister/owner does a lot for keeping the camping area clean , because showers, toilets, sauna and cooking place they all were really clean. I think we are going back to Uruniemi on next summer because it's location . Inari lake is so beautiful. We just don't choose cabin no 3 . So cabin was poor/bad but the whole campingsite is very good.
