Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed for 2 nights in small " hobitt " cabin no: 3 .It was warm and the roof did not leak :)
but there is no doubt that the cabin has at some point suffered from humidity because there smelled mold. Cabin does not have any ventilation. We could not open the window for fresh air because there was so many mosquitos.
Mosquito net in front of the window would have helped but it was missing . Fridge in the cabin is noisy. I didn't mind for paying 20 cents of 3 minutes of water in shower. It made me think how much clean water we are spending in shower :) About the staff, at first they didn't speak much nor smiled but eventually we chatted with them a lot and they were friendly. I think that the lady in reception is just a bit shy...and mister/owner does a lot for keeping the camping area clean , because showers, toilets, sauna and cooking place they all were really clean.
I think we are going back to Uruniemi on next summer because it's location . Inari lake is so beautiful. We just don't choose cabin no 3 . So cabin was poor/bad but the whole campingsite is very good.

What a beautiful spot on the shores of Lake Inari! You can simply sit there and enjoy the view of the Ukko Rock, take a bath in the lake(appr. 15° C at Aug 20), or use the campground's equipment. But DON'T open the kitchen door even if it steaming inside (too many insects), DON'T take equipment from one kitchen to the other (even if it is missing there) and so on. Most crazy, every electric socket was somehow closed even those used by their stove. The only exception are those in the shower room for hair-dryers.
Apparently, I have never seen such an effort to sell their electricity plugs for 5 EUR/night, no matter if you charge a caravan or just your mobile phone.
Remembering how you DO use the coin-machine for the shower let me smile, however showers are free after August 15.

In contrast, the owners are very helpful with any question concerning the local area.

Rented a cabin because the place I wanted to go to was unavailable until the next day. Cabin was spacious enough, but the bathroom was small. For the same price you can rent a much better cabin nearby.

I slept on this camping in July 2014. I had the impression, that owners don't like their guests and want them to get out. They were not smiling at all. Shower is closed at 11pm, so if you come late, there's no way to take it. You have to pay 20 euro cents per 3 minutes of warm water. You can't choose place to camp ypu likw, but instead of this, the owner spots it for you. Sewage system is odiferous!

Had a look at this and another camp site in the village. The other was busy, too busy. This was empty. I think I now know why. On arrival, I had a walk round and this man was rudely shouting as me. I assumed he was a stuck up moody campervan owner or something. The reception was ok but the woman (assuming now to be rude mans wife) wasn’t very welcoming and didn’t look bothered about anything. I asked about the sauna and I felt like I was imposing. Only 2 showers and 1 toilet. Lucky for me campsite was empty.

It does have a lovely water front location though if you can put up with these rude owners.

I later saw the old man who was shouting as me go into the house with the woman.

Manners cost nothing. Unlike your €20 a night plus €15 sauna for a small tent.

I won’t be returning or recommending.

Also, there are ‘don’t do this’ and ‘do this signs’ everywhere on scrappy bits of paper.

This place Uruniemi Camping is very quiet, clean and wonderful. I stayed there for 3 nights recently (at the beginning of March) and had a great time. I saw the northern lights in the vast sky as I was entering the cabin, it was so magical.
I enjoyed the quiet, views from my room and the town of Inari.
The owners of this place are nice and welcoming.
It is a very good choice if someone is looking for a quiet place near nature. The price was affordable too. It is about 3 minutes walking from the main road so there is a bus stop nearby. very convenient.

We stayed in one of the cabins here in September 2013 and spent a total of 7 nights here. The cabins are very simply furnished but cosy and the heating was great, on rainy / colder days. The location is peaceful and there is a beautiful view across Lake Inari. We also rented a canoe from here for two weeks to explore the Lake and the many islands. The camping was the perfect base to prepare for our trip and rest after it. It's true that the owners do not smile a lot but they were very polite, helpful and friendly to us. I feel it is extremely unsensitive from people to expect to always be served with a smile, which by the way, is in most cases just fake and not genuine. I think that the the fact that the camping owners do not smile so much may be something cultural or something to do with the area they live in? Either way the owners were friendly to us in their own way, and they did even have a discrete smile now and then on their faces, and when they did it was not exaggerated but genuine. I recommend this place whole heartedly!

Awful experience - never again!

- un-welcoming, rude service
- extremely negative attitude to animals and children, but also to all our Group members without animals
- unpolite attitude and communication
- strict rules and distructions
- old place, summer kitchen in bad condition

Sauna seemed to be mostly for owners use and schedule.

Very small and restructed area for camping with tent - all the places with lake view are reserved for carawans.

We planned to spend a night on our way back, but desided non to because the bad experience.

No value for money!
Hope that no tourist get this kind of rude service in Finland!
