This must be on your absolute wishlist while in Lapland. First of all, you are in good hands with Aslak, our guide, who was very attentive with our whole group, taking you along the Lemmenjoki river through wilderness and explaining a whole lot about reindeers and the life as a reindeer farmer/shepherd. We had delicious reindeer soup for lunch and of course, the Ravadas falls are impressive, although not the major point of this incredible adventure through the nature of Lapland.
Our guide made us to feel safe and comfortable in the boat - he really knows this river! The waterfall is beautiful, it would have been nice to stay longer, but the tasty reindeer soup was waiting for us. We also learned more about the life of the reindeers and about the work with them. At the end of the trip we even had the possibility to feed some of their reindeers. And we also were able to admire some colorful crafts of wool felting. It was certainly worth visiting!
We visited in the beginning of march. Lots of northern lights with no light pollution. The cabin is beautifully decorated with everything you need. Beds are really comfortable. We even saw a moose and some reindeer. Thank you for a beautiful stay.
