This is an old farm located in Punkaharju in Finland. Working mostly during the summer season (May - September). Our main services include cafe, animal farmyard and bed&breakfast. Plenty of activities for kids.

We stayed one night in Hepokatti in their biggest cottage and it was really nice. The area is beautiful and with a lot of countryside charm. We were the only guests but the owners made a full, delicious, breakfast including baking in the morning. And our daughter loved the small animal feeding tour during morning. Hepokatti has possibilities for playing different games outside so bit older children should also be happy. The only minus is that the toilets and showers are in the main building.

We stayed for a one night in this Bed and Breakfast place in Punkaharju, Finland. Their location was very peaceful and calm. Our room was from Matkalaisen majatalo and it had a good double bed and own bathroom. The room was clean and we had a direct view to their hen flock. Overall, other visitors were mostly families with small kids. We went there as a couple and enjoyed the time anyway. Their speciality was the farm animals and we loved them all. Especially, they had few cats in the area and we got to pet one of them. All really friendly and nice. Their breakfast was good with a traditional sense. Everything seemed home made or local produce, and that was really nice. If you consider a stay as a foreigner, their breakfast gives a good impression of what Finns eat at their breakfast! We booked a sauna hour for us. It was a traditional Finnish sauna, and a very nice cool down area next to it. Though it's located in a central place, there was a good privacy.…

We stayed in the big red cottage for 3 night with family & friends including kids 8-11 of age. Pros: Lovely nature and farm landscape with animals. Nice breakfast with fresh berries and homemade rolls. Perfect for kids as the whole milieu is peaceful yet inviting with lots to do for outdpoor play/sports & wood crafts. Like a warm embrace! Fantastic, helpful staff. The cottage had a dishwasher which was perfect for our party of 7. Cons: The facilities are worn down with an interior from approx. the early 80ies. The place was tidy, but the overall experience is unfinished / broken. Not shabby chic, just shabby. If you want to vacay in style this is not your place. Like most places in Finland the facilities are not meant for hot summers. We were sweating through the night - no air con nor fans.…

We chose to stay a night while on a road trip, and we definitely chose the right place to spend the night! This place was perfect. The rooms are clean, comfortable and cool (surprising seeing as the weather has been so warm). The farm animals are a stone’s throw away from the sleeping quarters and make for a lovely vibe to the area. The whole place is very peaceful and quaint. Breakfast was great - extremely fresh and lots of variety. Lots of local produce available. The staff are very friendly and seem happy to serve. Couldn’t recommend this place more, especially if you have kids (we didn’t, and it was still a lot of fun).

Even though we live in the countryside, this truly was a lovely visit! The breakfast was delicious and we had a good, quiet night sleep. I bet this is a hit with kids, but we enjoyed also just as a couple.

We enjoyed our stay at Hepokatti a lot. The place is located in a beautiful environment with walking trails, cultural spots and opportunities such as kayking, swimming etc. in close distance. The hosts are super friendly and make you feel welcome from the second you arrive. The breakfast is great and for the evening hours it is possible to have your own barbecue. We would recommend Hepokatti to anyone, such as families, couples or older travellers, who are searching for a friendly and relaxed place in the Finnish Lakeland

Ah, the fabulous Hepokatti. There is only one problem with this place: the kids do not want to leave! This was our second time here, and we booked this because we had such a nice experience here on our last visit in 2006. Back then, we had no kids, but we still loved this place for its authenticity and the athmosphere. Now with kids this was even a bigger hit! The kids simply loved the animals, the big courtyard, the playing area in the attic of the barn. There was also an organized treasure hunt for the kids. The room at the attic of the barn was comfortable and the bed (especially the sheets) were very comfortable. They had added toilets and showers to the room since our last visit, which made it a very good farm experience in total. Highly recommend and will most definitely return! (ps. please note that my five stars are based on expectations for a B&B in a farm, for that purpose this is about the closest to a five star experience you will get in Finland).…

We didnt sleep at the place but it would have been cozy and lovely. The place was full of friendly and warm people and cute signs and animals (especially sheep and pigs)! We will visit this place again and hopefully sleep here too. The price was small according to the quality and athmosphere of the area. Totally recommend!!!! <3

Our one night stay in Hepokatti was great. The room was simple and basic but cozy, warm and in a beautiful setting. Service was friendly and there was lots of info about the surroundings and places to see. Breakfast was fantastic, typically Finnish which means healthy, lots of options and a sweet dessert too. The lovely farm animals are a big plus :)

I've stayed here for one night while travelling through Finland with my parents and it was just amazing! Despite the beautiful landscape around, the B&B charmed us with it's cosy red wooden houses and the nice atmosphere, just like you would imagine Finland in your dreams. :) The rooms are simple but clean and the breakfast buffet is, as said before, really good. We arrived quite late that day but the staff made us some tasty finnish dinner. All of them were really nice and talkative (for finnish people ;)) and provided us with lots of tips about the region and what to do there. At Hepokatti they also have a sauna, the animals and space and toys that especially kids will enjoy. I definitely recommend this place to everyone who wants to experience Finland, it is the perfect place in the perfect area! :)…
