Best location in Kuopio. Very good breakfast. Clean room. Water kettle should be available free of charges in all rooms.Now we had to bring our own. Nice hotel anyway - our home away from home in Kuopio.

Good location at the heart of Kuopio and surprisingly quiet. Next to Sokos & other shopping centres. The receptionist seemed to be busy yet managed to be extremely helpful when necessary. I'm especially satisfied with my room being available before official check-in time since flying in with the early flight can be tiring.

Checked into our room at Scandic Atlas Hotel right on the main square in Kuopio. Our driver had already delivered our bags and picked up our keys. Very large room with twin beds pushed together. Only one luggage rack so I had to put my bag on a chair. Nice size desk with lamp and sufficient outlets. Small wall mounted TV. Bathroom was large with a walk-in shower. There was no door on the shower so water ran out of the shower. Soaps and lotions in dispensers. We had a group dinner in the evening. The dining room was very noisy and hard to hear other people at your table. Service was a little slow. Salad delivered first followed by beef served over mashed potatoes with carrots. Dessert was a mousse dish. Dinner was filling and very tasty. Also had breakfast the following morning.

Close to everything in the city! You get to leave car under the markerplace and get a discount at the hotel for the stay 14€/day. Hotel is clean and room is good size. Big bathroom with shower. Breakfast room is small and can get crowded at times, but everything was delicious.

On our trip to Ruka and Kuusamo we spent a night here in Scandic Atlas. Tha parking was situated nicely underground, so we did not need to walk in the cold rain and the car was warm and safe as well. The hotel itself was nice and peaceful, although many other travellers used it as a stopping point as well.

Our suite wasn't ready until 15:30. There are only three junior suites at the hotel. I wonder why their cleaning is not prioritized. At 12:45 all others got their standard rooms.
The receptionist gave us a small candy bag. I am not sure if it was compensation for the delay or a TOP level welcome gift for my partner. No other gifts could not be seen.
The air conditioning was just in the living room, not cooling the bedroom. So we had a hot night with poor sleep.
This historic hotel has an excellent location next to the marketplace. The suites are corner rooms with great views.
The hotel was fully booked. The breakfast in the beautiful Atlas hall was busy.

The location is great! The hotel is situated in the heart of Kuopio right next to market square and public transportation. Very friendly staff at the check-in and breakfast buffet. Breakfast was very good too! Our standard room was basic but very comfortable and clean with all necessities, and a huge plus was the view over the city center. We had a very enjoyable stay!

We spent a night here in Atlas. Perfect location near the market. Cozy, interior and tidy rooms. Breakfast was abundant and versatile and the best scrambled eggs I've ever eaten. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Temperature was 23 degrees in the room and it felt stuffy. Mind you it's Kuopio in the middle of winter and we're supposed to be experiencing an energy crisis at the moment so the temperatures should be even lower than the normal ~21 degrees. In the hotel there are posters that say "one degree lower" (see picture). The corridors felt equally warm. The receptionist came to check on the air conditioning which didnt help and brought a (smelly) fan. There are other reviews of hot rooms on this web site. They should really do something about this issue!! Otherwise the hotel is ok, a little outdated but the staff is nice and the breakfast was good.

Hotel is situated just in the heart of city beside market square. It is very easy to hop in citylife. Everything was clean and tidy in general. Basic breakfast was good but nothing special. Only thing that disappointed us was the fee with Moovy application. Hotel webpage informed lower price than Moovy invoiced afterwards via application. That is not okay. Receptionist should tell this if there is price gap between webpage and actual parking price. Also receptionist should inform if indoor route to parking garage via shopping center is closed on sunday mornings.

What comes to the indoor route to K1-floor being closed during nights and early mornings, there is an info sign next to the elevators. However, I will inform our team to stay focused on this matter. Hi,
There is hair dryes in every room. Coffee and tea ketteles are only in Superor rooms. Coffee shop is open 24 at the reception. Self service laundry with one machine is at the hotel and free to use for all hotel guest. We also have laundry service with separate charge from Monday to Friday. We look forward to see you soon!
