Nice basic level hotel. Interesting Lapland theme, even I am not sure if it fits so well in Kuopio, but it caused nice and cozy athmosphere. The room (standard) was small and very basic, but clean. The only problem was super low water pressure in the shower in the morning. We had to stop taking shower because there was no water. We reported that at reception so I believe it has been fixed now. The location is perfect, near by railway station and city center. Our room was quiet even if it was on the street side. I would have rated this hotel to have 3 stars based on the quality of the room, but because of good service and exellent breakfast I'll give 4 stars. BTW, we were charged 9 euros more than it was agreed on, but when we reported that, 9 euros were given back and also we received a discount for next stay, so it's ok.…

Fantastic hotel near to the town centre. It has secure parking for motorcycles which is very important for us. The hotel has a bar and restaurant and very helpful staff. The rooms are well appointed with triple glazing to block out noise. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again if I was in the area.

We just stayed one nigh but wished to have time to stay more! Excellent hotel and yber friendly staff in hotel and in restaurant! They even had a snacks bag for our dog when arriving! Super! Room was very nicely decorated and all stuff were very good quality. Car to warm garage after driving in the snow from south was great too. We will most certainly stay again in this hotel.

The hotel has a very cool vibe and style. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We took the Junior suite and it was very clean and nice looking. The breakfast has a nice variety and is tasty. Note to ask a room facing the parking lot since there are renovations on the other side at this time. Recommend this hotel and will be back again!

The air conditioner was hard to catch, deep in a corner behind some warderobe stands. Hard to if it’s on or off. The bathroom was Ok online the lights on the mirror did not work, there were some light on the ceiling so it was not dark. Cant tell whats wrong with the beds, plastics ? You need to keep the room cool not to sweat in there. The personal was friendly and helpfull. The morning sun started lurking above the otherwise great curtains, a board up the would help and be easy to set by the management.

Restaurant and staff 5 stars but the room and the hotel itself 1 star. Food, breakfast and service in the the restaurant was great. Maybe the Lapland theme does not work all the way through but good enough. Staff was so friendly and helpfull everywhere. I haven't slept this bad in a hotel for a while. Our room was in the 6th floor but stil extremely noisy. Traffic sounds were loud along to the night. Bed was good, all good with that. And the room. I have to say that i would expect much more while paying almost 200 euros per night. It was very small old room with tiny bathroom, some new paint and antlers on the wall. Not nearly worth the money Reason for this big dissappointment was that we have had only good experiences with Lapland hotels before this.

Stayed for one night with 3 kids just before New Years. We got two rooms (with double beds) that were connected so that was super smooth. Staff at reception was really welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was awesome. We arrived really late but got parking spot just outside the door.

Very nice and stylish hotel located in Kuopio city. Both indoor and outdoor parking available. Extremely nice and welcoming staff. Hotel has a lovely little lounge bar area and good restaurant serving tastes from Lapland. Dogs are welcome.

Booked here to find luxury, but it was nothing but ordinary. On arrival bathroom and toilet was all wet. Perhaps it has been too busy for cleaners. Bed was great and sleep was good. Big TV! The Lapland theme felt tacky. It was fine in the room, but when sitting at the hotel "terrace", the Lappish theme was a joke. That music didn't match surroundings (busy street, car park, concrete) at all! We had high expectations for the breakfast. I was so excited to see they serve fried eggs! I just could not get any. There were too many people at the same time considering Covid situation. Staff was busy trying to keep up and fill trays and baskets. It was restless going back and forth trying to fill you plate. Staff was friendly and tried their best!

We had heard good things about the Lapland hotel in Helsinki and were expecting something better than your average Sokos. What a disappointment this was! It’s an old Cumulus which has been lightly refurbished using minimum amount of money. The rooms are crampy and have only been shown a little paint brush and some cheap new furniture. Tile holes in the bathroom have been covered using a big sheet of hard plastic, old fossets have been changed but the shower heads are old. And they haven’t even bothered changing the old discolored smoke detectors. We paid 209 € for one night which should have been max 70. They have 2 EV chargers outside but the receptionist said you need to drive away after your battery is full. So this was completely useless for me. To charge your car at the hotel, you can’t have wine for dinner because you need to wake up at midnight and move your car. And because all other parking space is full, you’d need to find a parking space in the streets. So I had to find a fast charger in the morning to continue our journey. Everything here is done cheap and the only point is to drain last bucks from your credit card without any level of service. Breakfast was ok. I am never stepping into another Lapland Hotels location again.…
