Really spacy camping. Clean showers, toilets and kitchens. The small shop has basic products available. The pizza in the restaurant was quite nice and there’s also salads and smaller snacks and burgers. The area is kids friendly. You have to buy your own wood for open fire bbq. The morning sauna is a bug plus.
Had a lovely stay in one of the 2 bed room cottages. Amazing views over the lake from our cottage. Nice little walks around the park. Accommodation was fairly basic although we had to reclean and few of the cups as were a little dirty. Good size sauna and the location certainly made our stay
We stayed in a superior chalet which was one of the newer chalet in the property. It had newly furnished kitchen including and oven and a dishwasher and bathroom. It is a large property catering caravans and camping. The picture provided for booking in Agoda was a little misleading as it shows chalets next to the lake. We were in a row of chalets not facing the lake. We did not get much opportunity to explorer the property as it had loads of extracurricular activities
Tarmac pits for campers and motor homes, small cottages and area for tents. Toilets and shower works and are spacy. Got a cold shower while hot water run out! Small shop, mini golf and cafe/restaurant. Beach but unfortunately ice cream kiosk was closed all the time. Only few km from city centre. 900 m to nearest K -market. Rauhalahti Spa few hundred meter and summer teather beside.
Rauhalahti is a 5 star camping near Kuopio. Its a nice place for camping. The prices are rather high, but the value is great. The toilets are really clean and everything is rather new. We slept in small house, which we have found on a booking. Everything was fine, house was clean, there were all dishes, electric stove, bed sheets and pillows and a heating. So i can highly recommend this place, if you like to spend time in a peaceful area and visit Kuopio and its outstanding landscapes.
Spacious campsite with all you need. Beach, small restaurant, sauna, kitchen and so on. Friendly staff at the reception. BUT: there are only 2 sanitary buildings for so many people. They are cleaned once a day, which doesn't seem to be enough. In one of the buildings only 2 of 5 toilets were working and in the evening it looked quite dirty. To claim 5 stars the sanitary situation has to be improved compared to other 5-star campsites in Europe. Internet is free but only available at the restaurant and at one of the buildings in the back area of the campsite. That is no standard for 5-star campsites. Anyhow at night the site is quiet and the location is good. There is also a busstop to the city center nearby.
We stayed from 27/July till 13/August in one of the summer cottage. It was lovely and so comfortable like our own home. Scenery is great. Ours facing the lake. Almost every morning we went for morning walk to the forest and admire the nature beauty. Simply breathtaking . Will stay here again if we are coming to kuopio for a visit.
We stayed here on our journey to the Nordkapp. We had a cabin with 4 beds, which had a table, a kitchenette and was nice and clean. The facilities are clean, well kept and included a tv room, a cooking house with multiple tables and kitchenettes, a grill house, sauna (of course). The showers are excellent. One night we ate at the traditional hut. The dinner was a nice buffet, with enough choice of local dishes. I would definitely recommend the Rauhalati Holiday Centre campsite for families, but also to travelers.
We are visiting Raihalahti Camping site for the 2nd time and again we have a good time here. The place is generous and very well maintained. The service facilities are well kept and people are helpful and friendly.
Rauhalahti was surprisingly peaceful although it was very crowded. They have strickt guidance e.g. silence for nights, and it works! It is a pleasure to be there! It was very clean everywherw, although not everything was so brand new. We had a small cottage for two, it costed " nothing" and it was worth the money. Excellent budget option for overnight in Kuopio.
