When you arrive, Sawohouse may not look like a traditional hotel. The buildings are surrounding a nice courtyard and there is also a large summer terrace. Staff is really friendly and takes time to pay attention to their guests. The room was quite simple but very clean and peaceful. It also had an own entrance. The breakfast was tasty and generous. Location is good, especially if you are on the move by car (free safe parking), but also a bus stop can be found just around the corner. A really nice hotel experience at a reasonable price!

This is a really nice, warm and charming small hotel, with unique rooms . I spent there two nights in same week, on two separate trips. Staff was prepared to accomodate my unfortunate late arrival . Sorrounding area is really beautifull, surrounded by lots of greenery, nearby lake, and it is just few minutes from the main highway to Kuopio. This would be nice hotel to bring your spouse or loved one for a nice weekend getaway. Plenty of parking space, and Kuopio city is just few minutes away.

The name is "Boutique hotel", but according to my understanding there is not much boutique about this hotel. The buildings and room have been newer, but fairly clean. The restaurant is below par. They "brag" about their BBQ, but deep-frying a chicken breast is not BBQ. The service could be better.

We had a "superior room" but I would rate this below average. When you pay 120€/night you expect to get certain level of service but it was not realized in this hotel. The room was dark (walls painted in dark green), bed was too soft and pillows uncomfortable (maybe the needs to be renewed by times). Bathroom has seen better days, still ok but I would recommend renovation. Breakfast was modest. The personnel was very kind which was greatly appreciated.

It's a roadside motel. Breakfast was OK, but nothing special. Felt a bit sad. Had to climb a steep set of stairs to access the room. There is a connected underground nightclub, but we didn't hear anything from it. Reasonably clean, but nothing special.

I would not call it Boutique hotel . Maybe a motel or even hostel. However the room was clean,the bed was quite good but thats about it. The breakfast was ok. Its next to the highway…old road nr 5 so you could here the trafic in the room. There is a lot of parking space in front of the hotel.

We stayed in a family room with two cosy bedrooms, very comfortable and clean. A kitchen and small living room combined, everything brand new and well functioning. The place itself is very easy to reach and nicely surrounded in nature. Felt like at home. We arrived very late, keep in mind the reception is open till 9pm, unfortunately we were not aware, but they called us and very kindly offered a way to settle us. Building, yard, terrace, restaurant and breakfast place is so charming and cozy. Staff very friendly and flexible. Would love to stay longer and enjoy this place.

We needed a nice place to stay one night and this was really good choice. Sawo House is close to highway and very easy to drive but like others has said the traffic noise does not bother. The check in was really nice as the host showed us to our room and he also suggested the new hotel restaurant. It had opened just a week ago and it is nice and there is also big terrace. We were thinking something small to eat, but when we saw their gourmet burgers we decided to try and it was freshly made and tasty. On the terrace there was live music.
Our room was just perfect for us and we slept very well. The room was nice design and beautiful, the bathroom was big and there was good selection of necessary toiletries. In the morning we had a good breakfast with nice selection. I liked the bread and well made oatmeal (kaurapuuro).
I think the best part of Sawo House is the personnel, they all friendly and easy to talk to.

I spent here 1n on a biz trip, after some meetings in Kuopio. Very big parking space, the hotel is located few km from the city centre. Very cosy single room, although a bit small. So was the bathroom. Very nice reception area as well as breakfast. Warm and friendly service. A more than correct option in the area, good value for money.
