Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Myself and fiancé have recently stayed at this hotel for our little city break to Gothenburg. The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect, literally no more than about 15-20 minute walk to wherever you want to be! The Center of the city is closer again, being only about 5-10. I don’t think I have ever stayed at a hotel in a better location. The staff were all very friendly and were happy to answer any questions/quires. The hotel has a very quirky and laid back feel which is perfect. The room itself was perfectly adequate, a little quiet on the small side but had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. It doesn’t have tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but there is a machine in reception and you can take drinks up…. (an excuse not to be lazy I guess) …… The only two negative points I have to mention are that the curtains in the room (602) did not close fully, there was a gap in the middle and this let light through early in the morning. Thankfully I come up with a genius idea of hanging my scarf in the middle! The other was we had a brief foul smell coming from the drain in the shower….. Rather than do the typical Brit thing of complaining immediately I gave it the benefit of the doubt and after blasting the shower hose and a bit of soap down it, the smell disappeared…… Breakfast was good, a little on the basic side but gave you a nice full tummy and there is a little bit of noise if you’re in a front facing room… (to be expected from a city centre hotel) Overall this is a lovely little hidden gem in the heart of Gothenburg and will definitely be returning when I am back in the city.

Excellent location, lovely staff. The rooms clean, comfortable and cosy and the whole hotel was very quaint. Loved the decoration in the stairs - very Christmassy. The breakfast was fantastic. Rooms are a little small but we knew that when we booked. Everywhere is in walking distance so really worked well for our visit!

This is a nice family run boutique hotel. Stayed in a larger room on the first floor. Some minor negatives; found the mattress too soft for my taste. The room didn't have tea/coffee making facilities, a safe or iron. Storage for clothes was limited to a narrow alcove in the wall with a handful of hangers. The positives outweigh the negatives though. The room was spotlessly clean. Nice, clean, modern bathroom with large shower and underfloor heating. There was a large (for a hotel room) fridge in the room to store your own drinks etc. All the staff we encountered from the front desk to the breakfast room staff and the cleaners were friendly, professional and helpful. Good selection at breakfast and everything was fresh and nicely presented. Hotel is in a good location on a quiet street near restaurants, shops and trams.

Excellent location. A really lovely hotel, very friendly staff, good selection for breakfast and rooms were a good size. We were lucky enough to have a little balcony which was lovely. The rooms did get very warm and it was hard to control the temperature, although there was a small air conditioner provided. We would definitely stay here again.

Truly surprised what a great stay we had. Excellent breakfast, perfect location and a very large room. (We decided to pay a little extra for a bigger room.) Even though it is a slightly older hotel, it was clean and fresh. Service was good. Great value for money. We will be back.

Tops: The location was excellent. Rooms quite small but well put together. Breakfast was correct. Staff members very nice. Old vibe in an old building but well remade and modern to stay. Lows: The elevator is quite slow and small due to being an old building. But it's really okey. In general was a very nice stay.

4 nights stay during easter holiday 2022 and we could not have been more satisfied. Pleasant stay, service tip top and surprisingly good breakfast option. The hotel lies in the center of Göteborg, Vasastaden and it is reachable to everywhere. Public transport is accesable within minutes of walk. Room was great, unfortunately we could not control the room temperature. Sometimes it wiil get cold but it was manageable. We will be coming again. Theviya and Ajan

Very well located to explore the city and close to restaurants, bars, etc. Nice and cozy building, very nice staff, room as advertised, good breakfast. To say something, maybe it would be nice to have a kettle in the room, but there is free coffee and tea at reception 24/7

As previous reviewers have commented, this is a lovely quiet hotel within easy walking distance of the main areas of Gothenburg. Public transport is excellent but does require the downloading of a ticket app for trams and trains. Staff had fluent english and were happy to assist with maps, travel locations etc. Other than breakfast, which was substantial, no other meals on offer but with so many good restaurants within a couple of minutes this wasn't a problem. 24hr access to tea, coffee or other drinks. The bed was very comfortable and as mentioned, the soundproofing excellent. All in all, a real treat for a 3 star hotel.
