A hotel on a ship? Surely it can't be any good. It was a great experience, the rooms are small but very nice. Staff were very friendly, the food on offer was of high quality and the noise levels were low. The only niggle was that room cleaning starts at 8am. Therefore a lie in was not possible.

Not 5-star facilities but the experience of staying on a converted ship ("The Astoria") more than compensates. There was a warm and cosy welcome when arriving at 11.00 pm on a dark and chilly November night. And the good news was that the bar remained open until 1.00 am! Walking distance from Central Station or Nils Ericson bus terminal (about...

We stayed here at the end of November for 2 nights. Very clean cosy room, slightly on the small side but perfectly adequate for our 2 night stay. A view of the river from the window which was good. Our room had 2 single beds pushed together along with 2 seperate duvets. Bathroom was a good size and the shower...

Nice little hotel on the water near to the city centre, some construction work in the area when we stayed, but hotel room was still very quiet. The free breakfast was very welcomed as the prices in the city can be rather expensive. The staff are very welcoming and attentive, I would recommend this hotel.

Stayed for three days and paid the extra 10 euros a night to have a river view as the other option was a view of an industrial estate. The hotel does a good breakfast, staff were very friendly and helpful and all spoke good English. The room was very small with practically no storage space for clothing. The bed was...

We had 2 night there and I was positively surprised how good hotel is. So first positive things: Staff is really helpful and friendly. Room was clean and furniture is up to our expectations. Of course room was small but I didn't expect luxury room. I was working offshore before and I know how cabin can be small. There wasn't...

The hotel was great as it was just a ten minute walk from the central station. The rooms were basic but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a great variety of hot and cold items. The staff and service were great and they went out of their way to make sure we knew what we were doing...

A good decent place to stay and well located for the centre of Gothenburg. Perfect for a limited time business stay or as a base for sightseeing. Breakfast was pretty good with a limited selection, though the cooked breakfast options were not particularly to my own personal taste. Will happily stay here again.

Really good value for money. Good location and excellent for the money compared to most of the other hotels in the city. The breakfast is great and the staff were really helpful and friendly. The rooms are small but do the job for a couple of nights. Will definitely stay there again :)

Great location. Breakfast very good. Rooms clean and good value. Restaurant OK but like all public food in Sweden fearfully expensive for what it is. Staff lovely, helpful and knowledgeable. This was perfect as a short stay; both international and mixed ages that felt somewhere between posh hostelling and budget hoteling. And of course it was a boat, never worked,...

Occupying a ship on the quayside, Good Morning+ offers a lot of hotel for your money, with modern rooms and friendly, personal service. Free WiFi and breakfast are also included in your stay. That's what we call good value. Good Morning + Göteborg City is a cosy floating hotel right in the heart of Gothenburg, within walking distance of Liseberg amusement park, the Göteborg Opera and the shops around Avenyn. The outstanding location offers magnificent views of the harbour in Gothenburg. Three "captain's cabins" high up at the front of the ship offer unique meeting rooms which can be combined with unique accommodation and great food for inspiring meetings. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere and generous opening times, with food available to order 24 hours a day. The restaurant has sea views and in the summer we have a sundeck where you can enjoy a breakfast coffee or afternoon tea. The breakfast buffet opens at 6 am. Parking spaces are available right outside the hotel. The hotel was fully refurbished in 2012. Welcome to the great value hotel with the generous spirit. ... more   less
