We stayed at the hotel with shared barthroom for one night. The facilities are basic and the room was very small. The shared kitchen was convenient and relatively clean but there are limited kitchenware. There are only 2 shared showers for all guest which is insufficient. The inclusive breakfast was good and we enjoyed making our own waffles! The roof... More

I stayed here for 3 nights -- I had a twin-bedded room with en suite. It was basic and comfortable - with access to the kitchen for hot drinks. The decor is plain and the Scandinavian functional - good shower but no toiletries - there is a body shop in town though. The centre of Uppsala is a five minute... More

I stayed here for just over a week while exploring Uppsala, and found it a very quiet, cosy and convenient base. It's a 5 minute walk from the station, and a short walk into the centre of town, with shops, cathedral etc. The front desk is usually unstaffed, so they asked me to email a day or two before I... I was a bit befuddled by the various door codes and key boxes but a friendly Swede helped me out. Good to know there are staff available at the sister hostel "Centralstation" nearby if needed. My first night was spoiled by the Dutchmen in the next room partying to 3am, but this seems generally to be a quiet hostel popular... More

The hostel is located quite central but still in a calm area. The house is very cosy, but you may hear other guests moving about (there are signs requesting guests to be respectful). The beforehand contact was professional and accommodating, and the checking-in with codes worked very well. I had a room on the top floor which unfortunately only had... More

I ended up here because all other hotels were full, but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is inexpensive, but the room was nice and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was frugal but adequate. In all fairness staff had directed me to their other facility at the train station, should I require a more complete breakfast. Never had the time... More

For the non-Scandinavians amongst you, you may not be aware that the hostel system is functioning and worthwhile (as opposed to say, the US). This hostel seemed to have been recently renovated/tidied up, and the overall impression was excellent; the building is old, and there has been some trouble to show some of the features: exposed brick and beams, for... Acceptable room for overnight with basic functionality and reasonable breakfirst. Unfortunality I could not find another pillow and blanket. The breakfirst contained all sorts of grain, yoghurt, bread etc. An real good advantage is the possibility to arrive to this hostel without any time limit for check in. Quiet and nice hostel in small rooms for low cost.

It is a lovely hostel, where I felt like home and certainly I would stay again if I come back to Uppsala. It is close to the train station and I walked a few minutes to reach the city center, the castle and the Carolina Rediviva Library. The neighbourhood was calm in winter. The reception at the hostel was warm... More

Small, comfortable, intimate, friendly and cheap at weekends! I am on a very restricted diet but they provided everything I could need for a,wonderful breakfast. The guest kitchen has coffee and tea available anytime with treats such as spiced biscuits and mulled wine left out. Guests can self cater if they wish but the inclusive breakfast ensures you'll not need... More
