My son (20years) and me traveled togeter to Stockholm for a few days. We chose Hotel Sparrow because they had rooms with two beds. But when we arrived at the hotel we were informed that there are no rooms with two beds. And since we booked through hotels.com it doesn't matter. They said that the hotel can't control what hotels.com sells us, that it "lives a life of it own". On the hotel's own website they do clearly state aswell that they have rooms with one or two beds ("en stor säng eller två separata") . The location of the hotel is very good and the breakfast as well.
My husband and I stayed at The Sparrow for the first week of our honeymoon and couldn't have had a more pleasant experience. It's a beautiful, homey hotel in a fantastic, convenient and central location. The front desk staff in particular was so kind and helpful (shoutout to Fredrik!!), answering our requests for recommendations via email ahead of our arrival, plus so many small things throughout our stay. Hands down the best fully-included hotel breakfast buffet we've ever experienced in any country (the macarons!!). We had one final/extra night in Stockholm at the end of our honeymoon and had originally booked a different, "fancier" hotel for that night, but ended up canceling the reservation quite happily to come back to The Sparrow instead. May or may not have cried a little when we checked out.…
I stayed at the Sparrow Hotel in September 2022 for work and could not have faulted my stay. I loved the quirky decor of the rooms. I had a deluxe room which I believe was slightly larger and it was very large indeed! The front desk were helpful at check in and made my stay pleasant. I booked this hotel for its location and decor and both were even better than i anticipated. I loved that each room was slightly different and werent boring bland white canvases like some other mainstream hotels. The beautiful windows n my room looked out onto the main street which could be a tad noisy late at night but it wasn't a big issue. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options (and lots of healthy options which is great). The only thing I will mention is you need to book a time for breakfast as they get busy but this was no issue for me. The wine bar at the hotel also had the most delicious french cheese! Overall I would definitely stay here again and plan to on my next visit to Stockholm! Could not have asked for a better stay in Stockholm.…
We were a group of nine people for a business visit. The receptionist was extremely helpful and got us all checked in right away, even though we arrived at ten in the morning. The good service continued around breakfast arrangements - and the rooms were really lovely. We were all very happy for this stay...
It's been more than three weeks since my stay in The Sparrow Hotel, and I still can't stop thinking about it – that's what a wonderful impression it left on me. A quick glance at my TripAdvisor history will show that generally I do not stay in accommodation in this price range, so perhaps my experience was positively affected by spending more than usual. On this occasion, I decided to treat myself a bit and stayed here on a recommendation from someone I know. Given that the Unique room was only slightly more expensive a night than some of Stockholm's windowless, charmless hotels, I think it is absolutely worth the price. I'll start with the location, which is excellent. The Sparrow Hotel is right by Stureplan, a central part of a very walkable city. You are a short walk away from most of the touristy areas on Gamla Stan and Djurgården, and can make it to Södermalm in less than 30 minutes on foot. The Centralstation is also not far away. The staff were incredibly friendly, greeting me warmly even when I arrived at midnight. Breakfast was a fantastic spread of French cuisine, including some of the best croissants I've ever eaten, and some traditional Swedish fare. The whole hotel is so wonderfully charming with a nice 1960s vibe. I wish I had stayed longer so I could have visited the gym as well! The room itself was absolutely luxurious. I truly felt spoiled – the toiletries and hair dryer were high quality, the shower was strong with wonderfully soft water, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the room was warm even when it was near freezing outside. My room was on the top floor and a bit dark as a result of having only one small west-facing window, but it felt very cosy with its sloping ceilings. The bathrobe and slippers with the Sparrow logo are so adorable, and I wish I could have bought some to take home. Even the minibar is well-stocked with a local products at a reasonable price. Like I said, I simply cannot stop thinking about this place. I can't wait to come back!…
If you are a very frequent traveler with the high demands which comes with that… and looking for a hotel in Stockholm which will make you feel like coming home every time you walk through their doors; THIS IS IT. A very talented team which is extremely motivated for their guest services mission, led by the most professional, service minded, emotionally intelligent and overall absolutely brilliant hotel director, Christian. Consistently outstanding- since my first stay 2 years ago. Thank you team Sparrow.
A beautiful hotel Clean Stylish Spacious Staff are friendly and attentive I had an issue - first with the heating . This was dealt with effectively and efficiently to my total satisfaction. Another sensitive issue that the manager dealt with personally - quickly to my total satisfaction
Stayed with my wife on a weekday. The check-in was very slow and the two ladies in the reception were very confused on how to allocate a room to us. It took a good 10 minutes to get everything in order… The rooms are very nice and clean. The king size bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was quite large and had all necessary amenities. We had a room facing the street and we woke up at 6 am by lorries and garbage trucks making lots of noise. Breakfast was very good with plenty of well made dushes to choose from. Five stars for the breakfast! Check-out was as slow and confusing as check-in. It took forever to pay the bill and the two (new) ladies were not very service minded.
A unique hotel environment i the heart of Stockholm 🫶 The room was clean, well designed, quiet and fresh. All of the staff we came in to contact with were friendly, helpful and service minded. An extra plus to the receptionist who helped us get the tv to work and the waiting staff at dinner service who were very knowledgeable and gave good recommendations. The food in the restaurant was exceptional. The Parisian/French theme worked very well and was definitely complimented with the thoughtful decor 👌 Breakfast was without a doubt the highlight. A very fresh, extensive range of products thoughtfully laid out and very easy on the eye! Thank you for your hospitality and we hope to be back in the future ❤️🤍💙
A hotel with a French influence and old world charm with the finest breakfast we have ever had! But our Stockholm experience started badly with Metro staff giving us conflicting directions ending with us standing in the rain and getting a taxi. But once at the hotel, just wow! The hotel is two old buildings joined which creates some interesting ramps and doorways to go between them. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and I loved the old fashioned cage type lifts. The hosts were warm and friendly and helpful BUT the breakfast was to die for, you just did not want to leave the table, The scrambled eggs were more of an egg custard with a sprinkling of Spinach, just beautiful and the bacon squares cooked to perfection and the croissants light as a feather, there was so much to choose from! We really loved Stockholm and The Sparrow and we will be back.…
