From outside it looks special the reception and rhe bar was lovely but the room that I stayed in was not clean or the bathroom. The breakfast was okay funded hair in the butter told the staff about it but when I went back the hair was still in the butter.!

Having travelled very late at night arriving by car from Arlanda we luckily found the hotel but when we did the reception was extremely friendly and welcoming, the lady late on reception on 22nd September, sadly we didn't catch her name couldn't have been more friendly, indeed we found all the staff the best part of the hotel. Nice hotel but a little bit worn rooms. Very spacious rooms and okay bathrooms. Nice breakfast but would have wished an earlier breakfast on Saturday due to Lidingölopp - a running competion. It was easier to find way after discovering that you could get off at St Eriksplan - not Odenplan.

Interesting building, excellent room. Nice quality. Rather good location and public transport. Brekkfest was good. Restaurant service should be better quality. But meal was good. Friendly people in reception.

We stayed for 2 nights as a large group. At breakfast on the day of check-out two of our party's bags were stolen from our table, including laptops & passports. Security is very poor at the hotel and as a result we cannot recommend it until this issue has been resolved.

I won’t waste the readers’ time with the story of the First Hotel Norrtull building’s previous existence. Most people reading at this review will either be fully cognisant or will discover all they need/want to know through the process of booking and staying. Suffice to paraphrase here that “an illustrious old wine warehouse does not necessarily a fine hotel make…”...

If you request a decent room the hotel is comfortable. Breakfast can be a bit chaotic but decent food on offer. If you like milk in your tea/coffee in your room, you'll need to provide it yourself. Number 2 bus close by and takes you all the way to Gamla Stan. Bar area not very inviting but it's a hotel...

Overall: I would recommend to friends with older children as an affordable decent and clean place to stay in a city where luxury hotels are super-expensive. I wouldn't recommend with very young children as the safety lock was not working and the ease of ability to pop up onto the radiator and access the window (as shown in my photo...

We stayed in a family room with our daughter. There were two double beds, ours was a bit lower in the middle, but mostly comfortable. Nice spacious room with three chairs, one beside the desk and two armchairs. Bathroom was basic, shower worked fine. Nice lounge downstairs. Close to the busstation, we later discovered that the Flugbussarna coach stopped right...

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.

“We booked a room for 3 people (2 adults+1 child) and found out in the hotel that there is no spare bed for the child and if we wanted one it would cost 300kr per night. The good thing was that we got to change our room to one with "king size" bed (which actually was pretty much just a normal doublebed). The hotel is big and complex and we clearly stayed in the "old side". The room was pretty small, the toilet floor was absolutely filthy, there was no soap (got more when we left the bottle wide open) and there were towels for only two people. We had to ask one set more every day although there was cleaning in our room (the cleaners obviously didn't bring us three towels although they clead out three...?). ”
