We have previously had great experiences about staying in this hotel but this time it was quite a disappointment. The front desk was very friendly like always but the hotel rooms were having dirt on both bed linen and mattress as well as on the floors. Our room was once changed due to dirt on bed linen but the same problem remained on another room. Bed linen were changed for the next day but mattress was still having dirt and hairs on it. It was surprising to know that there was a staff shortage on the hotel. Is it truly worth keeping lower amount of personnel if the result is the hotel being dirty? It was a good thing that breakfast was packed the be able to keep food intact.
Beautiful place and friendly staff . Stayed in motel L for 3 nights with my family. The place is clean and in a quiet location. Good for long evening walks around the lake looking at boats. Highly recommended.
I had a booking here for a whole week but could not travel due to the corona travel restrictions. Unlike any other hotels where I had bookings here they absolutely refused any any compromise and and did not allow for moving the booking to a later date, a voucher or anything else. I will certainly not book here again after that experience.
Unfortunately, our flight was cancelled due to the current health situation. Also, the event we were planning to attend was postponed to next year. The hotel only offered to reschedule our booking within 3 months - which is still well within the crisis situation (august). An offer valid for one year (by means of credit/voucher) or a refund would be more appropriate.
Motel L showed an outrageous attitude towards my booking during the Covid-19 Pandemic. My country (Greece) was and is under lock-down and my flights to Sweden were of course cancelled by the airlines. This situation was not considered force majeure by Motel L so they REFUSED to accept cancellation of my reservation and refund. To make things worse, they REFUSED to accept change of date through a voucher either! Tο justify their attitude, they said my reservation had strict terms, while at the same time they basically took back their argument by saying that they applied free cancellation to CERTAIN COUNTRIES only. There is no excuse for the hotel's management to be applying this kind of intolerant, inhuman and very random policy during a world issue. Their service was really bad.
