I spent a night in one of the Standard Double rooms and every part of my stay was excellent. Conveniently located in downtown Stockholm, Miss Clara is a beautiful building with a rich history. I liked the boutique style inside and thought it felt exclusive yet personal. The room was nice and spacious with big beautiful windows overlooking Sveavägen and Adolf Fredrik’s church. When I went to sleep I shut the black out curtains and they blocked all light from the street effectively. They over-delivered with the BYREDO skin- and haircare products in the bathroom. Paired with the awesome water pressure, great counter space, and well-lit mirror it was an all around great hotel bathroom. In my opinion a hotel room is only as good as the bed, and I slept like a baby in the Bed Factory King-size. There were both firm and fluffy pillows to choose from and The Egyptian cotton sheets were the cherry on top. Breakfast was delicious and their concept with table service (to comply with COVID guidelines) worked very well. I had an omelet, waffles, fresh fruit, and some coffee and juice. Everything was well prepared and the wait was minimal. A special thank you to the people at the front desk who helped me out since I managed to misplace my phone charger. Staff who truly want to help their guests out are always a big plus.

Dear Anna, I remember you dearly and I am glad that we could help you out with the charger and I am very happy to read your most beautiful review! Thank you for the compliments on our spacious rooms and its view. We are very proud of what the world-renowned architect Gjert Wingårdh and his team have done to the Art Nouveau building that once was a girls school back in 1910 when it was built. The name Miss Clara comes from the head mistress that was the first female in Sweden holding that title. The beds are indeed from the Swedish brand Bed Factory, well spotted! Common feedback is that we have the most comfortable beds throughout. Of course, the bed linen out of Egyptian cotton helps to enhance the sleeping experience and also deserves credit. We are very proud of our à la carte breakfast, most of our guests appreciate it even more than the classic buffet. The choice of the Byredo products comes from a natural urge to spoil our guests that extra bit, it makes me happy that you enjoyed our favourite sent of Bal d'Afric. I sincerely hope that we will be able to welcome you back as soon as you visit Stockholm next time! All the best, Victor Bohlin – Front of House Manager

We were on a school trip and Miss Clara was our place of stay for a night. Their service was on point since we had a friendly receptionist give us a tour in the hotel. The rooms are simple but very nicely decorated with comfortable beds to sleep in. The only thing that was a bit off is the bathroom; it's visible from the bathroom since it's all glass, so probably not a great idea if you are travelling with a co-worker, unless you both are a couple, friends or family. ;) Due to the covid-19 restrictions, breakfast was a mini-serve yourself with a list of other amazing dishes which were prepared at your request by checking them on the list given you. I had a round two of the breakfast; it was that GOOD! All in all, I would say it was a great hotel with satisfying service.

This was my third stay at Miss Clara. And this time I found a chocolate on my be greeting me with a "Welcome back!" A nice touch. And I am puzzled by how many hotels - even five star amenities - have no clue about returning guests. I asked for a silent room not too far up in the building, and I got that. The room faced the backyard, which is nothing to look at - but totally undisturbing. The bed is comfy, the bathroom is great, the minibar stacked with not unreasonably priced items. Bathrobe and loafers ready to enjoy. Not everything is perfect: The opening mechanism on the waste bin in the bathroom was broken, and not repaired/replaced during my stay. And there's a constant leek of water from the shower and onto the bathroom floor. This is not a surprise, but rather a feature at this hotel, it seems. Same thing in all rooms I have stayed in. Not a big problem, though, as the bathroom is supplied with a towel especially for the floor. Miss Clara is not cheap. I payed 2800 SEK for Monday to Tuesday (substantially less Sunday to Monday). It's not a ripoff, considering the hotel's qualities, but it IS in the upper range for a four star hotel off season. But I am still willing to pay that price, so it's somewhat worth it. Due to corona, the breakfast was reduced to picking items from a menu. My ham and cheese sandwich was really a big disappointment: Very similar to a sandwich you buy at a train: Tiny, dry, no love involved. However, I could have chose eggs and bacon or yoghurt or lots of other stuff, and I have to bear over with the difficulties of serving breakfast when the last thing you want is standing over a buffet. The building is a beautiful fin de ciecle-piece, extremely well taken care of in every detail. The location of the hotel though, is not very charming, on a corner of the busy road Sveavägen - however, your literally in the middle of Stockholm, with all interesting places except for Söder within walking distance. The constant traffic outside was no problem in my totally silent room. Bear in mind before visiting Stockholm: This is not a green city. There's not a tree anywhere in the city centre. This is neither a warm city - the wind gushing through the streets. But it's a cool place, the cultural capital of Northern Europe (sorry, Copenhagen!), with world class restaurants, museums and attractions. I will continue to return to Stockholm, and then - I will continue to stay at Miss Clara.

Friendly staff that wanted to help in any way possible. Rooms were nice and up to date with a unique style, bathroom was clean and modern. As of right now the breakfast is disappointing however, we were expecting a nice buffet but you are served a small selection of mini dishes that were to be quite frank boring and nothing special.

Dear Marika, Thank you for a lovely review! I guess that an extra thanks is in order to our friends at Vouge for pointing you our direction :-) Exceeding expectation is deeply rooted in the Miss Clara DNA, nothing makes me prouder than when we get yet another confirmed success! All our toiletries are from Byredo, and for those who read this and want to bring a scent of us to their own home. Look for Bal d'Afrique from Byredo next time you treat yourself with new toiletries or home scent. Come back soon Marika and let us be a part of another perfect weekend! All the best, Victor Bohlin - Front of House Manager
