Here's what I liked about Parlan: its affordability, the idea of a boutique hotel in a quiet neighborhood in a lovely building, the very good mirror and reading lights (which turn out to be rare in Scandinavian hotels), the top quality teas and coffee, the comfortable bed, the chic neighborhood in walking distance to anything we wanted to do, and...

At first you are not sure if you enter someone's private apartment as Parlan Hotel is taking half of the second floor of an imposing old Stockholm town building. Then, as you walk in, it feels like home and I could hardly believe how cosy and quiet this place really is. The room I stayed was No 29, right at...

The room was much larger than comparable hotels and very clean. Even though it faced the street, it was very quiet and also light and airy. The staff went out of the way to make us comfortable. Excellent breakfast, too. The location was one of the best things. It was walking distance to Old Town Stockholm, Gamla Stan, the canal,...

It is hard to find a place to stay in Stockholm for under $200 per night that has any decent reviews/private baths and aren't hostels. If you like bed and breakfasts, this is the place to be. It is a bit difficult to find as it is only the second floor of what I believe was a girls school. There...

The Parlan is located close to many museums and feels like a home away from home. The breakfast buffet was fabulous and the staff very helpful. My only criticism would be the towels were a little down market. Other than that I highly recommend the Parlan!

The Parlan Hotel is one of the true gems in Stockholm and we strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to stay at a very reasonably priced pleasant place that feels like home. There are 9 very quiet rooms on the 2nd floor with an elevator (really the 3rd because the ground floor is called the basement) in a classic...

Hotel Parlan truly is a pearl. We spent 3 nights at Parlan and wished we had longer. The staff (may have been the owner) was friendly and extremely helpful with getting us information about local sites. The rooms were larger than we expected and decor very modern and welcoming. We had the room next to the breakfast room and I...

Just spent six nights at the Parlan from June 1 through June 7. As others have noted, it was almost suprising to find a hotel listed in what otherwise would have looked like an office building. Room 23 was wonderfully bright and sunny, and the bathroom seemed quite spacious compared to a recent stay in London. Since it was very...

We spent four days at the Parlan and loved it. The location is great as is the price. The rooms and shower rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. The owners gave us a pass number to get in and we picked up our key at the reception desk (During our stay we only ever saw the owners at...
