While the rooms are small, the decor is new and the bathrooms are sleek and modern (nice touch to have a black tiled bathroom). It is extremely convenient - lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, the subway station is just a block away. Complimentary coffee, tea and water provided in the hotel lounge. Staff are pleasant and efficient. A good...

The location of the Hotel is very close to Centralen and along the green metro line, which tourits probably use the most. The hotel has a very modern and nice atmosphere with brick walls, leather sofas and lots of plants. The lobby is cosy and staff is more than helpful. What a great find! Lovely boutique hotel - nice decor - fantastic photos on the walls, well kept. Very pleasant staff who were more than happy to help and recommend restaurants etc. Comfortable rooms with ample space. Underfloor heating in the bathroom - a nice bonus! Great location for exploring the sites of Stockholm. Would definitely recommend.

The Rex Petit Hotel, while definitely different, has been one of the most charming hotels I have stayed in for a long time. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, happy and smiling. Location was great, a stroll from the underground station which we used on day 1 and on the day we were leaving - as otherwise you can...

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in Stockholm. While we were initially concerned about the location from city center, our worries were unwarranted. The public transportation system (T-bana) is less than a block away (Radmansgatan stop)- the trains are fast, timely, and frequent. Furthermore, the hotel is only two stops from central station, three stops...

A good quality small hotel. There is no restaurant but there are many close by. Breakfast is fresh, good quality and til late in the morning. The rooms are varied but a mix of modern and old with some nice individual touches. Kept very clean. Good value for money and within a short walk to the metro or a longer...

The Rex is well located around the corner from an underground station and a short walk from bars and restaurants. We thought the public transport in Stockholm was fantastic, super efficient and used it loads. We stayed in one of the rooms on the top floor in the roof. It was small but a good standard of accommodation and was...

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
