Amazing hotel in a great location. Sean the concierge was a mind of information making recommendations and bookings for us.The Hotel is lovely with good size rooms. The breakfast selection was great with both a buffet and a cooked to order selection. Definitely with the high rating.

I loved everything: The practical and stylish room, the lovely bed with comfortable pillows and linen, the coffee machine and tea making facilities in the hall with fresh ice available at all times, the customer service and the best - breakfast, which is included in the price at weekends. The possibility to order different types of eggs, pancakes and other...

The Rival is a wonderful hotel with excellent customer service. If you need anything - recommendations for dinner, reservations, spa appointments - the concierge, Sean, is your man. He's incredibly responsive and has good insights into what's good in the area. The hotel itself is clean and cozy. Grab a room on the 4th floor next to the free coffee...

We had such a great time at this incredible, trendy hotel! The location is perfect. The food service and buffet offer several delicious options. The rooms are clean, neat and trendy. Comfort to the max. Movies, music, heated bathroom floors.

Visiting as a family of 3, the online sites were not very helpful in finding a room. Called the hotel directly and they booked a suite with an extra bed-I would strongly recommend calling them to book The staff added a complimentary breakfast-excellent omelettes, pancakes and french toast, superb breakfast . Nice balcony outside the room. The toilet and bath...

This is a lovely hotel and the service is outstanding; particularly when you consider Stockholm overall doesn't seem to have a high service culture. There is a turn down service and free water which is a great touch. I overrode my travel agent's recommendation for another hotel here and decided on the Rival largely based on trip advisor reviews. I'm...

Comfortable and clean hotel. Great morning Buffett and having 24 hour access to a decent coffee machine is great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good bar to relax at night. Location was perfect for visiting sites and old town. Room got a little warm at night, great range of pillows to choose from. Everyone very happy

A very nice modern hotel located in Söder, Stockholm's hippest part, near a number of good restaurants and cafes. The room was pleasant and functional. For instance it had two USB ports on each side of the bed. A very good bathroom and a comfortable bed made the stay easy. Breakfast was excellent. You can order the eggs your style...

We had planned a stay at the Rival due to its great location near the old town, SoFo and the contemporary design of the hotel. It didn't disappoint. Breakfast in the Bistro was superb - and the bar was buzzing in the evening. The room was comfortable but small and a bit bland - we had asked for a twin...

Staying in Mariatorget

Neighbourhood Profile
This rather quiet neighborhood revolves around a postcard-like park with a dramatic fountain in its center and is definitely one of Stockholm’s showcase neighborhoods. Mariatorget, a central residential area, is the best Stockholm has to offer when it comes to juxtaposing architectural masterpieces with sophisticated art galleries, coffee shops and bars. Stockholmers love to spend their weekends in the park or one of the nearby coffee shops, so come to Mariatorget to meet the locals. The northern part of Mariatorget boasts historic buildings, beautiful cobblestone streets, and one of Stockholm’s best observation decks, Monteliusvägen, from where you can see an amazing view of the city hall and Stockholm’s old town.
