We loved this hotel. The location is great and near to public transport (which is excellent in Stockholm). Our room was a good size and comfortable. Free tea and coffee is available and much appreciated. Breakfast was fantastic with a great buffet selection and some...More
I booked for four nights for a family city break based on the great reviews and was not disappointed. In fact our Hotel Rival stay was one of the highlights of our holiday.
The rooms were a generous size, clean and very well appointed.

For me this hotel gets a lot of boxes ticked ... helpful desk / constantly buzzy / good lobby lounge and bar area / stylish well-designed rooms / really comfortable beds / excellent breakfasts / free coffee and cookies on the 4th floor ... help...More
This rather quiet neighborhood revolves around a postcard-like park with a dramatic fountain in its center and is definitely one of Stockholm’s showcase neighborhoods. Mariatorget, a central residential area, is the best Stockholm has to offer when it comes to juxtaposing architectural masterpieces with sophisticated art galleries, coffee shops and bars. Stockholmers love to spend their weekends in the park
or one of the nearby coffee shops, so come to Mariatorget to meet the locals. The northern part of Mariatorget boasts historic buildings, beautiful cobblestone streets, and one of Stockholm’s best observation decks, Monteliusvägen, from where you can see an amazing view of the city hall and Stockholm’s old town.
