-Very anonymous. No warm welcome. - Cleaning people already enter you room at 8.30 am in the morning, if you forget to put the "dont disturb sign" at your door. -Usage of SPA is not included in the hotel room price. - Inattentive, relatively unfriendly bar staff at Taqueria if you are "normal", not lgbtq. - No access to your car after 10.00pm, if you park in the parking spot next door. - windows of hotel room can not be opened. +Nice fitness club. +Great breakfast, although canteen atmosphere.
Amazing hotel , really like it . The breakfast was sooo good ( selection of dishes, juices smoothies, yogurts) friendly staff , great location. We’ve got a room update from Booking and the room was so big and nice , clean especially we like the Rituals cosmetics in the bathroom. One disappointed that spa in not included, you need to book and pay .
Having loved everything about Hotel C in Stockholm for some years (it is close to my 83-year-old mother's house) I happily booked again with my teenage daughter and her friend. At time of booking I requested a larger room with a bed sofa so that we could all comfortably fit. This was available on booking.com. I was unable to book the room for 3 (It didn't give me the option although it had 3 beds) I so I contacted the head office and was told that I needed to contact the hotel via the booking platform I had used which I did and was adviced to send Clarion a message that we were indeed 3 persons, not 2 and was that ok for the room we had booked. We heard nothing. We arrived early on the 13th of July, tired after a 3.30 start from London and I thought we might try and check in early. It was a hot day and the girls wanted to go swimming at eriksdalsbadet just around the corner. I thought if it was a problem with early check-in they would just tell us to come back a bit later. When the receptionist looked at our booking she told me that we'd only booked for two people. Wait! When I explained that I had tried to book for 3 but that the booking page would not allow me to and that I had contacted the hotel via booking.com to ask this question, she went and fetched her manager, Lina, who told me there were some problems with booking.com and Clarion hotel. I sympathized but instead of her being apologetic she instead informed us that the room they had reserved for us had no bed sofa in it and claimed that it never stated on the website that it had!! On top of this, she also told us that the room was a normal size room but that she could put in an extra bed but that I would have to pay for this. I told her this was unacceptable as I wanted some comfort during our 3-night stay and had paid extra for a larger room and that it wasn't my problem that Clarion and Booking.com had comms difficulties. Unfortunately, she did not relent and asked if we could go away (yes, she did) and come back at the regular check-in time so that things didn't get 'too out of hand'. The teenagers were eager to go swimming as it was 27C outside so we went to the local pools and came back 2 hours later. The manager was now not to be seen and we instead went through our story with another receptionist. She told us the same story that we had only booked a room for 2 and that she could add a person and a bed but that we would have to pay extra. When I told her we had asked for a bigger room, with a bed sofa, sent Clarion a message to confirm all was ok for 3 guests and that Clarion had not responded she just kept telling us that it was a shame but that there was nothing the hotel could do. At this point, the girls are standing next to me, dripping wet with towels around them as they've just got out of the pool and all they wanted was to go into a room and unpack and shower. This is when the receptionist says that she can cancel our entire booking (it's 4 pm) and go and find another hotel!!!!! This is a member of the hotel staff that says this to a paying hotel guest! You couldn't make it up. We were so exhausted after our early start and also really shocked at the level of unhelpfulness. In the end, they offered us a single room and a double room so it worked out but it took hours and the hostility and lack of service mentality were shocking and surprising for a hotel that has in the past been so friendly. Really affected our short trip and I will hesitate to ever stay there again. Unfortunately.…
I would definitely recommend this fancy hotel to anyone looking for a great experience, comfort, and a nice view of Stockholm. What I liked the most about this Clarion hotel is that my room was spacious, I had a nice cozy sofa with two chairs and a table, a minibar, a big screen TV, a desk, large windows, bathtube with a shower with nice modern design, and the bed was very comfortable. It felt like if I were sleeping on the clouds!
A nice hotel in a great location. The subwaystation Skanstull is just nearby. Easy access to Globen and Tele 2 arena in case you’re coming to a venue. Room was clean and nice. A bit warm and humid though. The minibar didn’t get cold which was a bit of a turnoff. The bathroom had Rituals products which was nice. We stayed for two nights and both nights we slept like babies. Really quiet the both nights. Breakfast was really crowded at ten, but food was really nice. Lots to choose from. Would recommend this hotel for sure.
Unlike other reviews which I read prior to staying at the Clarion I found this a very pleasant hotel. It is situated in a residential area of Stockholm surrounded by real people with real shops and ordinary restaurants. It has a very hip exciting entrance. It is two kilometers from the Old City down a very interesting road full of cafes and shops. There us a municipal park behind the hotel with a 50 metre indoor and outdoor pool both heated. The room was great with a excellent bathroom. The only drawback was a rather busy restaurant for breakfast.
Comfortable and clean hotel that was well located directly next to the metro. Breakfast: excellent selection and nicely laid out BUT it is incredibly busy. Book a slot before 8am if you want to find a table without too much fuss. The quality of it makes up for the crowded experience. Bedroom: Generally quite comfortable and clean but I’m not sure this is representative of the rest of the rooms but our double was two singles that weren’t physically joined together and they kept moving apart from one another on the wooden floor, which was frustrating. Bathroom: Excellent. Bath and shower and large sink area. Overall, a good, comfortable stay. I enjoy running so found the easy access to the waterfront really nice and the paths down there are great for runners.
Speedy check in, friendly staff and a room with everything I needed for my short stay. View over the highway in to Stockholm city. I had picked the smallest room and if you are two persons you will have to climb over the other one to get in or out of bed. Location great near subway and buses. A smaller shopping mall is just across and you can walk along the waterfront only a short walk from the hotel. The hotel is huge and it is very crowded and vibrant in the eating and bar area. Enjoyed my stay.
Excellent hotel. Very central to getting into the heart of Stockholm within a few minutes- the metro station is right next to the hotel and it’s 3 stops to the old town. Staff were really helpful throughout the stay- shout-out to the very lovely and enthusiastic lady on breakfast duty who welcomed everyone to breakfast. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel. Would recommend staying here.
A very well-located hotel with a warm and welcoming feeling. The staff on sight had big smiles on their faces every time we met them. The check in was smooth and fast, having a few check in desks definitely helps (plus the self check in function). Were not spending too much time at the hotel but we had a great view over Globen. The breakfast was fantastic and the warm smiles we got from the breakfast hostess before even entering the dining hall was amazing! Will definitely come back to this hotel the next time I’m in Stockholm.
