The Rygerfjord was approximately $85/night. With the strong naval history and being situated on the water, it’s easy to find something boat-related there. We were excited to find a boat hostel, both with private rooms and shared rooms. The unique quality of being on the water didn’t mean it didn’t have normal hostel-perks. It still had breakfasts served in a...

11pm and still they are not able to give us a room. We regularly booked but they don't have Internet. We are waiting since 30 minutes and still no news. I don't recommend this place due to a massive lack of professionalism

This hotel is a good choice if you don't have a large budget. We had an upper deck room with separate bathroom and it was very clean. You have to keep in mind that this is a boat, so it sometimes shakes from the waves. We had no problem with that though. The position is great. We had a fantastic...

This is probably one of the cheapest ways to get a private room in the centre of Stockholm, and a nice experience, too. A boat is a boat though, so be prepared to sleep in a narrow bed, and choose wisely the direction of your head. :)

Have you ever thought about a cheap hotel that still gives you great service? Well, it exists and it's the Rygerfjord. Had a 5 day stay here and it's very comfortable, all the staff is lovely and happy to help. Everything is very clean and the boats are well preserved. Besides all this you have the fun of staying in...

A tethered boat and two barges. Sleep in berths. Showers at the end of the hall. Kitchen and fridge with views. Very clean and secure. Views of Stockholm's City Hall(Nobel) and sunsets. Meals can be purchased. Small ferry dock 250 meters walk that takes you to near City Hall. If arriving at Central Transportation Center take the Metro two stops...

Me and my girlfriend choose this hostel because its' really near the heart of the old city and for its unusual "building" which is a boat. Living aboard has been a little difficult at the beginning (the room was small and almost under water) but the we enoyed it a lot.

The service and friendliness of the staff was great, easy check in, bedding changed daily, everything very clean. The breakfast was a Buffett with a great selection, cheaper than the rest of Stockholm, the bar served till 1am and the beer was slightly cheaper than you will find elsewhere. The bar area was a little cramped but a lovely cosy...

I've been there just for one day and I really liked it. The destination is ideal- 15 min to the Old Town, in lovely Sodermalm and by the river with beautiful view during the breakfast. :) So if you are looking for a interesting place to stay or place that is diffrent from standard hotel, go ahead and book it!...

It is a perfect choice for people travelling on a budget. Don't hesitate to choose this place if you want to be in a centre of landmarks. Shared bathroom and kitchen area is not that troublesome. However, the cleaning of aforementioned should be on a more frequent basis. I recommend this place though

Staying in Mariatorget

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariatorget
This rather quiet neighborhood revolves around a postcard-like park with a dramatic fountain in its center and is definitely one of Stockholm’s showcase neighborhoods. Mariatorget, a central residential area, is the best Stockholm has to offer when it comes to juxtaposing architectural masterpieces with sophisticated art galleries, coffee shops and bars. Stockholmers love to spend their weekends in the park or one of the nearby coffee shops, so come to Mariatorget to meet the locals. The northern part of Mariatorget boasts historic buildings, beautiful cobblestone streets, and one of Stockholm’s best observation decks, Monteliusvägen, from where you can see an amazing view of the city hall and Stockholm’s old town.
