Idyllic setting, peaceful, wonderful hosts and a most enjoyable stay in the English countryside. The Manor House Farm dates back to the 1500's with add ons over the centuries! Chris and Margaret have decorated the house with lovely period antiques--worth the visit to simply see the house and enjoy the antiques. It is working farm and the prize-winning breeding cattle are a short walk from the house. The Manor House is in the farm countryside--it is a bit off the beaten path but the stay is certainly worth the effort to get there. The sitting room is delightful and a great place to read a book, play a game, or enjoy a glass of wine. Chris ensures that there is always a fire going (well--maybe not during the summer) in a very magnificent large fireplace. The sleeping rooms

Just returned from a two night break at this fabulous B&B. Having not stayed in a B&B before, usually opting for generic, lacklustre chain hotels, we wasn't sure what to expect. This place is full of character and charm, the rooms are beautifuly done with furniture to suit the era, our room having a four poster bed which was very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, we had a walk around on the first morning, it's in a rural location so lovely and quiet. Everything you could possibly want is supplied, I needn't have bothered bringing half of my bathroom with me, it's all there! Breakfast is included in the price and is so tasty, the best breakfast I've had in a long while. The eggs, bacon and sausages coming from the animals on the farm. There's also cereals and fruit

Stayed at this marvellous B&B in the countryside from Jacobean times. The owner used to be an antique dealer and the whole house is furnished in style with a roaring fire in the hearth to greet guests. The breakfast table had been used for hundreds of years by the looks of it. Chris and Margaret are the perfect hosts and their full English breakfast is to die for. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and slept very well on modern mattresses in old-style four-posters.

Thank you both very much for your very complementary review. You are quite correct about the ex antique dealer. To be fair a very bad antique dealer as i have tended to keep anything i liked..The Dinning room table is not actually as old as it may appear. It actually is rustic table from Poland. Thanks again and Very Best Wishes Chris.
