What an exceptionally delightful stay we had! We found the little Keepers Cottage to be cozy, delightful, beautiful, and unique. Chris and Margaret have beautifully restored and decorated the cottage and have managed to preserve the historic quaintness while seamlessly incorporating (greatly appreciated!) a modern kitchen, shower, and a clothing washer/dryer. The gardens are a treasure all their own. Exploring them we felt like wide-eyed children as there was something delightful, different and new around every corner. The amount of labor and love that has been invested in the gardens is overwhelming and evident. Centrally located, some of our days were spent hiking, shopping and visiting Castleton, Buxton, Ashborne, Trentham and Dovedale. Thank you, Margaret and Chris, for

Hi You two Thank you both very much indeed for your excellent review. It is doubly pleasing when our cottage guests take the time to review us because as our guests are staying self catering we do not get the chance to spend much time with them .And so we always wonder if everything was great for them,so thank you again for the review. We certainly love the cottage which before we converted it had been a wood shed and pig sty.We intend to retire there some day. Best wishes Chris and Margaret.

We have stayed here before and loved it so much we decided to take our Daughter,Husband and Grandson for a long week end. Chris and Margaret are wonderful host’s we cannot fault a thing even on a weekend when they had a full house they still found time to show our 8 year old Grandson the newly born calves and talk to him about how the farm works, he is already planning a return visit, the breakfast is wonderful too.The farm house is full of antiques and an open fire to keep you warm in winter what more can you ask for perfect B&B.

My wife and I stayed for a long weekend and had a great time. Chris and Margaret could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The only shame was the weather didn't suit exploring what looked to be a lovely garden. We would be more than happy to revisit and recommend this B&B to people

I recently stayed again at Manor Farm, for the second time in a few months. I defy anyone to find a better B and B anywhere! Let's look at what a good B and B should have: good welcome, hosts who know and recommend the area's attractions, comfortable rooms that include more than the bedroom, good food, quiet setting. Manor Farm has it all but for "good" read "excellent." Margaret and Chris are the perfect hosts and guests are made to feel at home in this wonderful historic gem of a building set in exquisite grounds that they are free to explore. After a day out walking what a joy it is to come back to a roaring log fire in the lounge. What a another joy it is it to sleep in an ancient and comfortable fourposter bed that seems to talk to you about its history. In fact the

I am biased towards Manor House Farm, I've been coming here for weekend breaks and longer stays, for over 12 years. This place is in my DNA. Whether you're looking for a base to go walking, going to Alton Towers, or just want peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Chris and Margaret are superb, very attentive hosts, who care about your stay and will help you if you need any info about the area. Their breakfasts are, well, just fantastic and will get you off to a great start, whatever you're doing. If you fancy a more independent stay, you can stay in their holiday cottage, which is a stones throw from the main building but is very private. Manor House Farm, Chris and Margaret, tick all my boxes and I cannot reccommend this place and them enough!

Dear SgtSnarl Thank you so much for at last getting round to giving us a review. I know you have been trying to keep us secret for the last 12 years in which time Angela and Yourself have become very good friends along with your fine band of 17th century military recruits !!. As you know you are always extremely welcome and we look forward to your next visit. All the Best Chris and Margaret
