Right on the sea front with a beach art the bottom of the garden this hostel couldn't be better situated. Rooms are either in the old building or in newer annexes. Some en suite, others not. I found the soundproofing non existent in my annex room - but accept that could have been more a consequence of the football team...

Not really fair to be able to only score out of five as this place was a 3.5/5 (or 7/10 - hint hint TA...). Stayed in dorm style room (just our family) in the main building and it served it's purpose. Very basic, but clean, especially the bathroom facility which was just for our room but located down the hall...

Danhostel Helsinor Really expensive for what you get: a run down rather dirty cottage, though the main property where the lobby is very nice, and directly by the beach with a beautiful view. Although we had already payed for the room/ cottage we didn't stay to sleep because when we came back from visiting places nearby, and had to make...

Located just over 20min walk into town, via either a coastal or main road path, the gorgeous main house looks directly out towards a small beach then Sweden just a few km across the harbour. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making all members of our group of 11 feel welcome. It's just a pity that the external cabins,...

My husband , myself and his two sisters came to Denmark after a short stay in Iceland. We rented a car at Copenhagen Airport and arrived at Danhostel to find that a mistake had been made on the internet booking and our rooms were actually booked for the previous years date. Luckily it was a Monday and our booking was...

Nicely situated close to the coast north of Helsingör. Easy to reach - just 30 minutes' walk from the city center. Or take the small yellow train 'Lokalbanen.and leave at next stay after 'Grönnehave'.

Stayed here as part of a university field trip in March 2012. Rooms are tiny but are more than suitable for a hostel trip. Lots of hot water and plugs for hair dryers and the breakfast was substantial. The hostel management couldn't do enough for us and catered comprehensively for the different dietary requirements in our group. The hostel is...

We spent 2 nights here with our 3 children age 6,8 & 10. We had an upstairs room with 2 sets of bunkbeds, 2 single beds, a private bathroom and a hall area for storing suitcases. All clean and tidy. Free computer in reception and free wifi with variable reception outside of the reception area - it did intermittently work...
