Hotel SKT. Annae is a 4-star boutique hotel based in beautiful buildings dating back to the 17th century. The hotel have been going through major renovations and improvements. Among the amazing results of this construction, we got a new charming interior design, 99 Deluxe Rooms and a new Restaurant In total, we offer 145 rooms, which are each individually decorated. The interior design is a modern Copenhagen style, but the hotel's charm and historical atmosphere is still preserved. You are invited to experience the Copenhagen vibe from the inside, as we strive to create surroundings that gives you a sense of life in the Copenhagen backyards and the cozy feeling of Danish homes. We look forward to welcoming you.

I would rate this hotel 4 had it not been for a sleepless night with an office party outside our bedroom window. The bedrooms at the back of the hotel face directly onto an office building, with a small outside area enclosed by the buildings. Anyone talking in this space is extremely loud because the buildings amplify the sound. Unfortunately an outside party took place on a Saturday night well into the early hours. I’m not exactly sure when it ended, but it was later than 3am. We didn’t sleep much at all. Cigarette smoke was wafting into our room which gave me a sore throat and headache. The hotel staff barely apologised saying there was nothing they could do. However what they should have offered us was a reduced charge for this night - after all. We couldn’t sleep, and it’s ruined our last night in Copenhagen which was meant to be a relaxing break! Poor customer service. Otherwise the hotel is good. Fairly clean and good sized room.

Arrived on Saturday for a 4 night stay and cannot express how disappointed we are with the handling of our stay 1) Sunday - was told by reception if we wanted breakfast on Sunday to arrive around 7.30am as it gets really busy. A crazy request but decided to do this instead of being at breakfast and possibly not getting a table. It was busy but not unmanageable, there were vacant tables throughout the time and noted at 9am still vacant tables!!! 2) same day - due to the very early start we left the hotel at 8.30am, activated the PLEASE CLEAN UP. Got back to the room at 1.30pm, room not cleaned. Saw the cleaners in the hallway and told them we are leaving can they please clean the room. Arrived back in room at 5pm, no cleaning done. Spoke to reception and they wanted to send the cleaner to do the room then. This was not a option, we had been on the road all day and just wanted to rest, so opted just for a towel changeover. 3) same day - would like to make a cup of tea, boiled kettle, water was milky white. (See attached pics) went down to reception and showed reception the pics. She offered to make me a tea and promptly told she would not charge for it! Seriously!!! 4) same day - aircon not working, called down and was offered a room change which we accepted. We booked a large room which was 317, moved to 312 which is way smaller than 317 but was told it’s the same category. Have great difficulty believing this as room 312 is much smaller and the bathroom is ridiculously tiny compared to 317. 5) Monday - reception called around 9am asking us to advise them when we leave the room so they can do the clean up. Not sure why, does housekeeping have issues!! 6) Tuesday - left the hotel at 9am, again activated the CLEAN UP ROOM arrived back at 1.30pm, no cleaning done! We left shortly after and again told reception to please ensure the room was cleaned before our return. 6) Tuesday - Called down to check how long to the airport and time to allow. Reception put me on hold for 15 min and then I hung up. I then called about 5 more times no answer. We chose this hotel due to it being listed on the Smith Hotel website of which we are members as the standard of Smith hotels are very high but sadly Hotel Skt. Annae fails miserably on every level. Did we enjoy our stay on Copenhagen, absolutely but it could have been so much better with a good hotel stay. Sadly will not recommend and will not book here again. Note: sent this to the hotel before submitting with no response. It’s endemic of how they treat their guests.

Excellent location, which was the primary reason for choosing this hotel. Although a tourist during this stay, I'm originally from Cph, so I knew this is a perfect location point of departure to see Cph by foot. I booked directly with hotel: service and communication was excellent. We had 2 apartments each DKK 2'600/night. Be mindful that credit card co adds 3% to bill. Front of hotel us towards shady (as in little sun) of Skt Annae Square, so will be very dark October to March. Our apartments were on 1st and 2nd floor into boring, shady and messy yard. Perhaps not a surprise in the city centre. Noisy buzzing of ventilation. Interior was tasteful, a bit run down down and not perfectly clean. We asked twice to have windows towards cleanen, shouldn't really be necessary... reception said twice he'd get it done, nothing happened. Windows were really dirty and disgusting, incl lots of bird poop. Skt Annae Square is one on the nicest places in downtown, 200m from Amalienborg, Royal Palace. Four star rating but falling a bit short. We didn't see anyone that looked like management, but the staff was nice, but were simply running someone else business. This left me with impression, do they really care...?Alex at breakfast/sandwich counter, was a great exception to this. We weren't asked whether we wanted to have dinner at hotel and receptionists wasn't sure when open. Hotel service 101? We did recommend another restaurant (Hummer) nearby, that was a bit of a tourist trap... so, note to management: check your recommendations! Overall, 4 star rating from us based on location and friendly staff. Breakfast was great, but halfway underground, so could be dark and depressing during dark days (7 months/year).

We literally had the worst hotel experience of our lives at this place. We had booked the penthouse at the top floor of the hotel and indeed we arrived to a great view from our room. Unfortunately around 6 pm the hotel started to have an "event" on the roof terrace that is directly next to this penthouse room (room has a second exit directly onto this roof terrace). While we knew the roof terrace was open to other guests until 10 pm when we booked the room, the hotel website and staff made no mention whatsoever about loud parties on the rooftop. This "party" had techno music that literally made the walls vibrate, not to speak of the noise from 6 pm to sometime between 10 and 11 pm that night. Having a small child with us that needed sleep, we called down to the reception to do something about the noise. The receptionist profoundly apologized and said this should never have happened and he understood our frustration and that this was a one-time event and his manager would figure out the next day "how to make this right for us". He went up to the event and requested a reduction in noise level, but to no avail. Not having another option this late into the day, we just prayed for the noise to stop indeed at 10 pm (it went past, but eventually it did stop) and eventually got some sleep. The next morning we went to see the manager who, much to our surprise told us: "There was no event on the roof and certainly there was no loud music, as loud music is never allowed on the roof terrace." Then a staff member from the night before walked by and did acknowledge that there had been an event the night before but at no time had there been loud music and it certainly did stop promptly at 10 pm that night. We explained to the manager and staff our experience for quite a while and they continued trying to gaslight us in that nothing had ever happened. We were flabbergasted. Never in our lives has a hotel basically told us we were lying and had made an entire event up. They then disclosed that this next day a wedding was supposed to be celebrated on the roof terrace, and that there would be nothing they could do for us, not even "to make this right for us" as the reception had promised the night before. At that point we simply checked out and moved to another hotel for the remainder of our stay in Copenhagen, which was lovely and the exact opposite of our experience in the SKT. Annae. To sum up: Staff that's lying and accusing us of lying to them. Undisclosed noise issues in the penthouse room. Do not book at this hotel.
