As always the location of the hotel, is crucial. If you are interested in modern, urban architecture, like to see Copenhagen by bike and stay close to water - this is the place for you. It is next door to the shopping mall Fisketorvet, so if that is your ball game, the spot is really hot! We had a room... More

We found this hotel newer hotel all in all pretty average. Our double room, converted into a triple room, was of a fairly good standard, as expected of a newer hotel of this rating, but it was too small when three persons shared it. No room for moving around or for the luggage. Sleep quality was below average, with an... More

Stayed 3 nights in Copenhagen Island hotel in July, and had a good stay overall. The reason why I give the hotel only three stars are because I've got some mixed feelings about the stay. Don't misunderstand me, it was a great trip and no big mistakes were done from the hotel. Which is why i'm at the verge of... More

This was one of the better hotels I've stayed in. We booked a standard room and they upgrades is to have a water view, which was amazing! Room was stylish and modern and we had nice patio doors to let the breeze in. We also purchased the room to include breakfast since it's hard to find a good breakfast and... More

Celebrating our honeymoon, we paid like 27€ dor an upgrade for 2 nights, good price. At first we were given a twin room, but as soon as I went back to the front office supervisor Ea, she gave us a lovely double room with balcony. Great views! The breakfast is perfect plenty of options and really good service. We also... More

Stayed here for 6 nights while attending a conference in the Bella Center (easily reached with bus 30 that stops right in front of the hotel). I walked to the hotel from Copenhagen Central Station, which is about a 15 minute walk. There's also an S-train stop right in front of the hotel. When I checked in, a coworker with... More

Thank you for your review. Our rooms vary a little in size - between 20 and 22 sq. m for our standard, superior and executive rooms. Our junior suites are app 30 sq. m. We will take a look at the curtain issue. We do have black out curtains in some of the rooms. We do hope to welcome you... More

We, parents and a 14 year old son, stayed for one night at this hotel on our way to Stockholm. The hotel is modern, relatively new and easy to access by car, while still at an acceptable distance from the city center (20 minutes walk). Although the hotel provides a business look and feel it is certainly well positioned for... More

We picked the Island Hotel from its Trip Advisor reviews, a google maps scouting of the location, and its great price. We weren't disappointed. The Island is reasonably accessible from the S-Tog station, but it is advisable to catch a cab if you have more than light luggage. In the gorgeous summer light it is a 20-30 minute stroll by... Stayed in this hotel for one night while visiting friends in the city. The Hotel is clean and well appointed located right on the main canal. Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
