Rooms are tiny. Access issues with stairs. No real room or facility amenities. Reminds me of a college dormitory. We arrived to this tiny room with 2 single beds. After requesting we be moved to another room with one bed, we were told that if we had wanted this we should have asked for this on the Internet. Seems weird...

We stayed at this hotel for two separate nights, one on either end of a cruise. The hotel was very clean and convenient to the train station and Tivoli and within walking distance of the main shopping street. Unfortunately, we were unaware that we would be hauling our 4 heavy bags up one flight of stairs to the elevator, and...

The good We liked that the price was right and that it included breakfast which was plentiful and good. The staff at the front desk were great - especially Jan. Buying a real cappuccino here was 20 DKK as opposed to up to 39 DKK in the city. Free wifi was available throughout the hotel which I really appreciated and...

Nice older hotel. A block from the main train station with easy access. Go to end of street turn left and your there. Tivoli Gardens is a block further past the station. Nice room. Good wifi. My daughter and her husband were sharing the room with us and we had plenty of room. There is construction going on but we...

There is construction in this area that will be finished end of 2015. Do not book here because the construction has blocked the hotel access to the train station. Makes the walk longer. No restaurants in this area as well. For comparable price but with better location, pick the Nebo hotel, or Absalon, or Hotel Du Nord or Copenhagen Star...

The location of the hotel is quite good, despite the metro construction work neaby that causes not only noise in the rooms but also a detour on the way to the hotel. Positive: breakfast. Negatives: a very cramped twin room which was difficult for two people to be in. Quite hot in the afternoon (no aircon);bad wifi connection; our room...

It was the right hotel for me. Cheap, good locality, OK breakfast, very friendly staff and little noise. The room I lived in was very small, but not impractically so. Even though there was construction work going on outside when I visited I slept like a babe. You're a stone's throw away from restaurants and pubs.

We visited Copenhagen for three nights for the Bruce Springsteen concert yesterday. We chose this hotel as it was conveniently near the railway station and the link to the airport. Takes around 15 mins! There are road works in the area for a new metro line so we went the wrong way at first trying to get around the barricades....

Our four nights stay in this hotel was very pleasant and I just can't forget the time we spent here. Hotel Ansgar is among the best hotels of the town. And I would recommend it because of the quality services and hospitality. Entire property is very beautiful and décor is amazing. Everything was very clean and well-serviced. Rooms are nicely...

We liked this hotel quite a bit , mostly for it's convenience. We stayed about a week. It was roomy by European Standards. Bed, couch, coffee table nice little shower / bath. The biggest plus was how close it was to the train station, just down the block and up some stairs. It had an outside courtyard and you could...

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
