Travellers' Choice 2018 Winner
Certificate of Excellence
Hotel Kong Arthur is situated right between the beautiful inner lakes of Copenhagen and the buzzing downtown, only 15 min. from the airport by metro. The style is exclusive and modern with a hint of medieval - we call it a mix of rustic and chic. The atmosphere is cozy and informal: A lit fireplace, comfy sofas, pillows in the window sill, a stack of books on the shelves, beautiful courtyards adorned with green plants, cobbles and a unique peacefulness.

Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

Very nice and good hotel, also centric and close to Metro. High professional staff which makes you feel at home. Nice and healthy organic breakfast. Room was really clean. Just only I feel a bit more expensive than similars.

I’ve been here before years ago. It was nice and cozy then, and it still is.
Location is rather good. It’s easily accessible from metro and a short walk everywhere. They have happy hour called ’cozy hour’ from 5 to 6 pm with one free drink (beer or wine). Many were interested, and there was plenty of people joining.
In the room shower, wifi and bed were really good. Soundproofing outside was rather bad, and noise of emergency vehicles driving by was rather disturbing. There was also intensive drilling starting from 7:30 am, although it was said noise due to renovation should start at 10:00 am.
Because of constructing new facilities the breakfast was served in another building across the yard. It was quite congested even at 9:30 am (they said rush hour to be from 7 to 8).

This is nice hotel, with a great location and very helpful staff. The ‘cosy hour’ was a nice touch where you can have a drink on the house with other travellers. Our room was clean and the bathroom was newly renovated. Some of the furniture was starting to look a little worn to be fair but it wouldn’t stop be from staying here again.

Having passed through the hotel often on my way to Nimat spa and reading the great reviews meant I didn't hesitate to book hotel Kong Arthur for a starvation with my husband.
Upon arrival we were informed that the hotel was under renovation. We did not receive any information regarding this prior to our booking and had we known about this we would gave booked elsewhere.
We knew we had booked a small room with a 140cm bed but we were not prepared for the tiny room we got. Absolutely no room for anything and I consider it small even for a single room. Our plans of ordering room service from the excellent La Rocca were ruined because there simply wasn't any desk or space to eat.
Instead we went for the cosy hour in the bar but would have preferred a list or display of what was available instead of having to ask a bartender that was rather busy.
As part of our visit we had free access to the spa but the receptionist had forgotten to give us the voucher. Robes were not available in the room either. Spa was great though and one of the best in Copenhagen.
Due to the renovation we had to eat breakfast in one of their partner restaurants. Food was fine but the restaurant couldn't cope with all the people.
All in all our high expectations were not met and I will unfortunately not come back.

It's really easy. You hop on the metro at the airport and hop off at the station, Norreport. The trip is a 15 minute ride. From Norreport Station you can walk, Google say 7 minute, to Hotel Kong Arthur. Welcome :-)

Sure we have organic toiletries with anti-oxidants like amber from the North sea: Nordic Amber. It's produced close by Esbjerg, a city at the west coat of Jutland.
