I stayed here for one night on a business trip. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Room was ok, not modern but had character due to the wooden beams and columns. I had dinner in the restaurant, this needs improvement as the service was poor, shame as it is a nice setting.Twice they gave my order to another table and... More

The hotel is in a great location. It has a beautiful view. The building is historic and very special, but other than one staff, the service was deplorable. When we arrived by cab to the hotel, our cab driver politely unloaded the taxi and looked around for a staff person to help us carry it in. No one was available.... More

We are leaving the hotel tomorrow (May 29) for a cruise and have been at the Admiral hotel for 3 nights. From the very moment we walked into this "stunning" hotel we could not be more pleased. Our first encounter was with Daniel at the Reception Desk. He was very friendly and accommodating. My husband has a small "Mobility Scooter"... More

I spendt one night the 25 th to the 26th May 2014. Overall the hotel is prefectly located close to Ny havn and close the little mermaid Overall It is a good hotel but you can find better value for money in the outskirts. A lot of ineffective staff that neglect customer service... I asked for a king size bed... More

Recently spent three nights at this hotel and very pleased with location and service. The staff were very helpful and our room was very good size and comfortable. Had views over harbour. This hotel is very well located to all the sights, walking distance to Nyhavn, Royal Palace etc. Breakfast had an excellent range. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for 3 nights in November 2013. The location is good with a short walk to Nyhaven and other sightseeing locations. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet adequate. Overall good value for money.

Very expensive, and no air condition in the room, that is very hot and you can not open window during the night as seeing to a very noisy and traffic road. Asked to change room but as full booked this what's possible. Paid for extra bed for child an it am still waiting for it, since two days. Very nice... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in a standard room. Room contained twin beds, two wardrobes, a desk, a mini bar, a table, two seater sofa and an armchair. Lovely decor with beams and complimentary colours. Bathroom was fine and shower pressure and heat control was great. Room overlooked the car park which was fine by us as we were... More

Comfortable hotel just a hundred yards from Nyhavn and 200 yards from the Royal Palace. No need for a car if you stay here. Very interesting conversion from a granary on the docks. Rooms are o.k., service is good, prices high but then Copenhagen is expensive. Preferred this hotel to 71 Nyhavn where I stayed on a prior visit.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Next door to royal residence Amalienborg Palace and just a short walk from Nyhavn, this imposing 200-year-old former granary warehouse is one of the largest hotels in the city, with 366 rooms - but don't let that put you off. It may not be boutique but big can definitely be beautiful. Beyond the two cast iron canons at the entrance is a neon-pink bar (great for a pre-dinner tipple), while guests retire to rooms showing off classic Danish touches such as teak furniture, low ceilings and original wooden beams. Best of all are the panoramas across the water towards the city's shiny Opera House and Christiania: a view fit for royalty. ... more   less
