I stayed at the Admiral for 12 nights in September for a business trip in a junior suite. The location is great and the hotel certainly has a charm! However, I was disappointed to find that the room was quite dated. The room was definitely clean but I could see spots on the carpet floor. In addition, the wood beams...

Great location short walk from centre and metro, friendly staff, nice bar- great cocktails! simple but well thought out rooms. Perfect hotel for business or as a mini break. Highly recommended. Amazing scandi breakfast - you could stay and stuff yourself for hours and all the regional breads etc

The hotel is perfectly placed downtown Copenhagen, with water- and operahouseview on one side. The restaurant SALT is a well worth visit, so is their fantastic outdoor cafe/bar/restaurant on the harbour side. Delicious food and atmosphere. The rooms has personality and are clean and well-sized. The staff are always smiling and serviceminded.

Stayed here recently for three nights and would recommend on the basis of the following; very good customer service, nice outside bar that overlooked the harbour, great location for sightseeing. We had a lower ground room and whilst spacious the wooden beams were a bit cumbersome as they obstructed the bed......so if you get Room 154 be careful getting out...

Had exceelent staff service and the hotel is very nice and well located. The only issue I had was with the internet services and unaccessable in the room. The staff was kind enough to assign another room to resolve the problem. I highly recommend the hotel and would book again if travelling to Copenhagen.

This hotel is absolutely horrible. It is the first time I am staying in a hotel on business when they even ask you to pay for a toothbrush. There is no gym and the room is extremely small. I absolutely hate it. Book at your own risk.

This hotel I would have put excellent but our room was a little small in width and I banged my legs against the bed, but the outlook over the harbour was magnificent. Service was excellent from start to finish by everyone in the hotel. Everything was available within 10 minutes from the hotel, a host of restaurants, hop on hop...

We stayed only one night and loved it. There was nothing too much they would do for us. Ulrich, in particular, deserves a huge thank you. He was wonderful helping us resolve a problem we had. The room was extremely comfortable and the restaurant had some of the best food I have had. Its situated in a wonderful location that...

The surprising thing about Copenhagen to a first time visitor is how vitally important are its canals and waterways, leading right into the heart of the city - in some ways reminiscent of Amsterdam -but with a broader range of architecture. Overlooking one arm of the main waterway stands this hotel with its unrivalled frontage to the quayside, where invariably...

The Copenhagen Admiral was booked on the basis of a very funny review on trip advisor which warned people not to stay the lower harbor side floor as they are noisy. However the rest of the hotel was fine in a funky, but quite expensive and cramped way. We booked well ahead [3 months] and got a room on the...

Neighbourhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Next door to royal residence Amalienborg Palace and just a short walk from Nyhavn, this imposing 200-year-old former granary warehouse is one of the largest hotels in the city, with 366 rooms - but don't let that put you off. It may not be boutique but big can definitely be beautiful. Beyond the two cast iron canons at the entrance is a neon-pink bar (great for a pre-dinner tipple), while guests retire to rooms showing off classic Danish touches such as teak furniture, low ceilings and original wooden beams. Best of all are the panoramas across the water towards the city's shiny Opera House and Christiania: a view fit for royalty. ... more   less
