A surprisingly small ship, but the accomodations were adequate. We were a family of 4 adults & 3 pree-teen age kids that took up the main bottom deck area. The host was very gracious & accomodating considering the god-awful hour circumstances beyond our control had forced us to check in by. Unfortuneatly, we couldn't linger & do any sightseeing in... My son (14 years old) and I just stayed on the Arctic Janus while visiting Copenhagen, and enjoyed it thoroughly! We were looking for a novelty experience, and received a great one. the personnel were both friendly and helpful; we slept well in the bunks in our cabin; and the breakfast was well worth the 80 kroner (Danish). We appreciated... More

It's basic but for a short trip it's great fun and I would love to go back. Location The location is really nice, right next to the famous Noma restaurant and opposite New Habour. Being on the opposite bank you're set back from the hustle and bustle. It is a little bit of walk to the main areas of the... More

This is boat living, so it isn't romantic, and not very commodious. However, the host is nice, the location is convenient, rooms are okay, and THE PRICE IS RIGHT. This isn't the best stay for everyone, but if you are on a limited budget, and I think for a couple of friends traveling together on a tight budget (but wanting... More

Staying in Christianshavn

Neighbourhood Profile
Christianshavn
Just across one of the many bridges from Indre By, you’ll find Christianshavn. An eclectic area with old brick lanes, houses dating back to the 16th century, and canals which are home to many boats and ships, some of which has been turned into restaurants or even serve as fully furnished homes. The best known attraction in Chistianshavn is Christiania, a “free town” of residents who squat on a former military area. However just a stone’s throw away from Christiania, you’ll find some of the most fashionable waterfront apartment buildings in Copenhagen as well as the splendid Royal Opera House.
