I purchased stays at the Ibsens for a trip in May. It is interrupted stays. When booking, the I inadvertently booked 4/3 instead of 5/3. I booked a following stay before I realized the error. The Ibsens refuses to allow the change. I am out the $, even though I found the error in a matter of minutes from booking.

We are really sorry that you have ended up in an obviously frustrating situation. If you have booked at a travel agent or another third party site, you will have to contact them. If you have booked directly with us I recommend you to contact Head of Service, Stefan Sjørslev, at Ibsens Hotel at ssc@arthurhotels.dk. In general you can cancel...

Stayed here for 4 nights with my boyfriend and we both loved it. Really nice and well sized rooms, beds are comfy and bedding is good quality. Only downfall would be the bathroom is not as high a standard as the room, so an update would just make the hotel perfect. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Cozy hour is...

It's wonderful to read your nice words. We love that you appreciate our ambiences. We will make some improvements at the bathrooms during 2017. We look forward to welcoming you again another time! All the best Marie Thyssen /Ibsens Hotel

By Copenhagen standards this is remarkably cheap, given it's central location. Unfortunately this is reflected in the quality of the accommodation. We had the smallest double bed I've seen and the room was not much bigger. It's sorely in need of a decorative boost, and often the lift wasn't working. Having said that, the staff were great, breakfast was fabulous...

Thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed our location. We have rooms of many sizes and shapes - from Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large to a Junior Suite. Please take a look at our website to match expectations. An Economy double room is equivalent to a Medium room, which is for single use or for a...

We travelled as a couple and stayed the weekend before Christmas. Arrived early and weren't able to check in as the room wasn't ready but we were able to leave our luggage. Came back later on, were given a twin which was a shame, they sent a cleaner up to push the beds together who came up right away. The...

Thank you for your review! We are glad to learn that you enjoyed staying with us. Ibsens Hotel offers our guests an authentic and local experience when staying in Copenhagen. We are sorry that you didn't like the bathrom. The bathrooms are not modern, but the design is like the bathrooms in standard Copenhagen apartments. However if you book a...

We had to get 4 rooms here (one last minute) for a large family trip. At first I was a bit shocked at the small size of the rooms, but they were comfortable and had all we needed. The breakfast buffet is amazing! Great variety, delicious breads, cheeses, and much more. The lobby is large with large tables, we played...

Thanks a lot for your nice words. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us at Ibsens Hotel. Thank you for mentioning our breakfast. It’s good to know you appreciated it, because the concept is New Nordic and as such, it’s probably different from the breakfast many people are used to. Regarding the noise you experienced: Our hotel isn’t...

Ibsens Hotel was quite cozy and great for a first time visit in Copenhagen. It has a great location near lots of restaurants and bars (like the bar Kalaset) as well as the Torvehallerne Food Market. It is also not too far from the bigger sights in Copenhagen, and it is within a short walk of the Norreport train station....

Thank you so much for your praise of our hotel. You are right about the room. Medium size room is not that big - depending on what you prefer. Some guests just want a comfy bed to sleep in - others need a very spacious room. Our recommendation is to take a look at our website and get to see...

This was our first time in Denmark and we found the people and culture very friendly. Our hotel was ideal for visiting all the city either by foot or on the city sight seeing bus. The hotel is just a 15 min train ride from the airport on the metro and a 5 min walk from the metro station at...

You make us smiling. We are very happy to read your lovely words and glad that you are recommending us, thank you. That’s the best praise we can get. Yes, New Year's eve is quite an experience. Stayed for a business stay, accompanied by wife. Extremely low ceiling on 6th floor. Bed very close to wall and ceiling at pillow´s end very low + that ceiling had beams of solid wood that made hitting the head even easier. Oh dear! I am so sorry for your experience with the 6th floor ceiling. Yes, it is fairly low - but it is (almost) always possible to change room if it was too low for your liking. Some guests love the atmosphere on the 6th floor - because of the low ceiling and the wooden beams... but it is, I...

We stayed here for three nights on the top floor. Rooms are simple and OK but could be cleaner. Hotel location is good, but then anywhere in Copenhagen would be OK as it is so small and you can walk everywhere. Next time we go we'll try airbnb.

Thank you for your review. We acknowledge that our hotel is not of everybody’s liking. If you like small boutique city hotels with a personal atmosphere and a minimalistic and Scandinavian furnishing, and designers like Hay, Designers Guild, Walter Knoll, PearsonLloyd and Danish Hans J. First room had a persistent sewer smell which didn't disappear after flushing all water circuits in the bathroom. Bathroom was tiny tiny. I got another room which was better but still very spartan: no coffeemaker/kettle, no safe, no cupboard for your clothes so unsuited for longer stay that a night. Breakfast buffet was excellent

We love feedback, whether it be positive or negative. The smaller rooms have small bathrooms. You need to book a Large or an Extra Large room in order to get a larger bathroom.
