Atmospheric place, really good room and great, great breakfast! The owners were friendly and helpful. I would totally recommend this place if it's not necessary for you to be near the center. Anyway, there was a metro station couple minutes walk away and it took only another few minutes to get to the center.

We booked a one night stopover following a cruise in July 2016. Tine, the manager, was on holiday. We certainly did not receive the warm welcome I had read about. Quite the opposite, in fact. The person we dealt with was rude and abrupt. Never mind, we left our bags and went out to return after check in time. Upon...

Just 5 min from airport - one metro stop. Easy to find, though u should know what you are doing because there might not be any ppl around to help u out. Cute place- the room I had was very large and had like 3 sections. Super easy to get downtown by metro and took no more than 10 min...

Hi Rachel Thanks for the nice review and comment about the lack of communication with the staff. It is very important to be able to get in contact with us and therefore we have the intercom system at the front door. I am so sorry you missed that information. Which could have made your stay even smoother and better. We...

Ocean hotel is situated just three minutes by taxi from the airport - so it is really only a tiny bit further away than the "official" airport hotels - but is hands down a better choice for ever so many reasons. It's in an historic Danish villa and the public rooms are light and airy with quality furnishings. Our bedroom...

My husband and me booked small double room for 1 night. The hotel is located comfortable - close to the airport and the highway and well connected to city centre by public transport. Nearby, across the street is a charming city park. Our room was small but cozy - it was sufficient for one night, but for longer stay could...

We stayed for four nights and found the location to be perfect. Short walk to station giving easy access to both the airport and the city centre. Our room suited our needs and was spotlessly clean. Tine, our host, was extremely welcoming and happy to help. Breakfast was delicious too. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We stayed here twice - 3 nights on our arrival and 1 night before our departure. It is perfectly situated 300 metres from the Metro, and one stop from Copenhagen Airport. We had room 6 for 3 nights and paid extra so we had some space. The room was spacious as it is a family room. It has a separate...

The Ocean Hotel is an excellent choice if you are visiting Copenhagen. One metro stop from the Airport and 10 minutes by metro to the centre. The owner Tine greeted us with a warm welcome and showed us around the house. Our bedroom was glorious with a super comfy bed and a veranda overlooking a park. Breakfast was good and...

More like a family run B&B this lovely little hotel near the airport was like a home away from home for us. We stayed there on three seperate occasions on our recent trip to Denmark. The first room was too small but the next two times we were in large rooms. We did a week of cycling outside of Copenhagen and...

We stayed here one night after a transatlantic flight and before we embarked on a cruise. We were looking for some place comfortable where we could rest, get out and walk a bit and just relax before doing some sightseeing and boarding the ship. This hotel fit the bill perfectly. It is very close to the airport (a very short...

Staying in Amager

Neighbourhood Profile
In the eastern part of this neighbourhood, visitors will discover Amager Strandpark, a beach area which has become increasingly popular. It’s only a 30 minute bicycle ride or a 10 minute Metro trip away from the city center. Only a few hundred yards inland, some of the most creative musicians, artists, and writers in Copenhagen are occupying some of the old storage houses and production facilities. The western part is one of Copenhagen's most rapidly evolving areas, here you’ll find international architecture of the highest rank, the state of the art TV-Byen (the Danish pendant to BBC), a golf course as well as Copenhagen's best (and tiniest) ice bar.

When I took ownership on 1 September 2006, the house was inhabited by one small family. Many rooms were not in use and I knew I would have to put my back into refurbishing and refitting the building to meet contemporary hotel standards. I and my dedicated team of diligent staff have together created a highly professional boutique hotel with a unique atmosphere. We do our utmost to make our guests feel at home and to make their stay at Ocean Hotel unforgettable in every way. Best Regards, Tine Buhl ... more   less
