Arrived at hotel to be greeted by sign saying restaurant was closed. No explanation until I asked and then told they had a lack of staff. Hotel was in the process of being prepared for large motor racing event so lounge area was closed off. Access to hotel was limited by blocked roads - again no communication from hotel. Hotel seemed to be more focused on event than serving customer in the hotel unfortunately. I have stayed regularly at hotel - it has great view and is in a good location for Aarhus. However this was a poor visit and I would agree with other comments that the hotel is starting to get a little tired.

Room Tip: Make sure you opt for a sea view - worth the extra rather than looking at a carpark.

We stayed here and enjoyed the views very much - the beachfront location is great. Unfortunately the hotel otherwise is nothing special: The rooms are very large and shows some old class, but are not clean and somewhat worn down. The breakfast was poor and had too many lines etc. There was a sign asking guests not to take lunch with them, which I would never do, but still seemed petty when the breakfast was unimpressive. We would not want to bring any more of it with us. There should also have been more that one automatic coffee-maker. A minor complaint was that one of the staff appeared to have a cold. During Covid I think most guests would prefer that even covid-free employees avoids going to work and potential risks infecting guests on their holiday. I obviously cant know for certain the conditions of the member of staff but it did make me feel uncomfortable.

I had happily forgotten about our 3 night stay until I was prompted by the hotel to write a review on Tripadvisor. I have stayed there a couple of times before on business more than 4 years ago and whilst I was never very excited about the place it served its’ purpose. This time around I only stayed there because it was in walking distance to the confirmation we were invited to by great friends. It already started out badly as I did not receive responses to e-mail requests and when following up by phone they acknowledged that they had received my e-mails and that they would definitely get back to me later on that day. This again never happened and when following up yet again the day after, they finally gave me a room - no notion of an explanation or apology for the lack of response. The room was dated and even though I had mentioned it in writing and on the phone they had forgotten about the extra bed. When they finally brought it, they told me I could put it up myself as they were short staffed. Dinner was impossible to get, both in the restaurant and as room service because they were busy and short staffed and they closed down the restaurant all together the day after. So after just arriving from Italy on the first night we had a take-away from Bella Italia (or Napoli). We were awake until 5 in the morning due to a private party close by, but that was probably a bit out of the hands of the hotel - still not great. The breakfast buffet is just terrible with very little to choose from and cues everywhere plus no tables available. I could go on but essentially for what you pay this place is just not up for anything and lives on one great positive, which is the beautiful location right at the wonderful Aarhus bugt.

The bathroom was very dirty with sand and black mold. Room was ok. The people at the reception could not solve the problem so we had to do with this. We were not the only one complaining. And it was not a inexpensive room 192 euro a night.

Clean, quiet , breakfast was good and the position it’s amazing .it could be nice to have a boiler for some coffee in the rooms and maybe to clean the windows a bit more often? When u have such a nice sea view it’s a shame to have dirty windows :)
