We enjoyed out days in Aarhus. The drive it was a bit of winding but navigation to us right to the garage. The shopping street was just around the corner offering great food and merchandise sales. I bit longer walk to the art museum and historic town center but very comfortable and safe walking to them.
Business trip with stay at Scandic Aarhus City Hotel. Well situated in the city centre with a short walk to all the cities shops and restaurants. Thoroughly enjoyable with professional and friendly staff.
The room was very small, almost no chance to move with four people inside. A fridge was missing and if you used the shower, the whole bathroom was under water (no reaction after telling the problem to the reception). Breakfast was nice.
Central Aarhus hotel, looks also fit for business people. The room was not huge for 4 people, but reasonable. Breakfast had a lot of options, generally very good and freshly prepared, with some reasonably good fresh fruit, which was hard to find in other Danish hotels. This is generally a feature of Scandic hotels. Perfect location to explore Aarhus. Generally pricy but not incredibly overpriced.
Very friendly staff at the reception, the bar and breakfast buffet. Nice large room with a view and a good size bathroom. Easy to reach by car and parking below the hotel. Very down town hotel. I can only recommend this hotel.
Based on our prior night's stay at the Scandic Hotel in Roskilde, my grandson and I were eager to get the same type of service and attention. The gal at reception was not at all welcoming. The room was spacious and the beds were comfy but what is it with "no fans" in the bathrooms and no bath mats? It's impossible not to get water on the rest of the bathroom floor when showering. There was no a/c and it was a bit noisy to sleep with the windows open. The hallway/elevator area on our floor was dismal: dark and worn out. It felt in need of an update. The breakfast room was nice and there was a great variety of items. We wished they had English translations at the various stations as we had experienced at the Roskilde location. Parking (not affiliated with the hotel) was directly underneath and quite handy. For the price, I expected a bit more elegance and I always appreciate a warm welcome.…
Firstly, the hotel was clean and the choice of breakfast food was good. However, I was struck by comparing the admirable accessibility claims made on a poster in my room with the lack of real inclusion in services. While of course only a minority of disabled people use wheelchairs, to give an example, lifts created step-free access in the public areas but wheelchair users would struggle to reach some breakfast items and in the bedroom, the bed could not be reached because chairs and a table were in the way. This shows a lack of general awareness & inclusive practice. The lack of inclusivity was sadly extended to the members of our tour group who were non-meat-eaters. The hotel knew in advance that this comprised over 20% of the party - a percentage of guests which is likely to grow in coming years. At the start of the group meal, the chef came out and proudly listed the menu which included meat and fish. He made no mention of what the rest of us would enjoy and when asked, just dismissed the interest by saying that those people with "special needs" would be catered for. I suspect the unfortunate choice of words was a translation issue. Nevertheless, it gave the impression that vegetarians should just be grateful for whatever they were about to be given! It turns out we were right to have low expectations. After a miniscule starter (I gather the dessert was just as measly but I'd given up and left the table by that time) and slow service, non-meat-eaters were served a huge piece of grilled cabbage on some tiny vegetables. Certainly not a pleasant, filling or nutritious main meal despite everyone having paid the same for their dinner. It felt like the 'food deviants' were being punished. May I suggest that the chef learns how to make delicious vegetarian food that everyone can enjoy including meat-eaters? Anyone who insists on meat could request the add-on beforehand (although when the meat-free meal is really tasty that doesn't usually happen). Just like adding a ramp or a lift doesn't automatically make an environment truly inclusive for everyone, unimaginatively tweaking a meal doesn't either.…
Nice and friendly staff, good location near bus and in center, clean room with good air, soap in room, tea and coffee, exellent breakfast. The kids loved the free alkohol free drink at the bar. Loved the many different ecolocical food choises ar breakfast.

Scandic Århus City is situated right in the heart of Århus. We got a suite on the 5th floor with a great view. The breakfast is extraordinary good quality. A perfect stay for my wife and I. Can only recommend a visit.
