Nice hotel at the waterfront with friendly service and a very good sustainability concept. The rooms are very modern and quiet as long as the windows are closed and you don’t have a room to the street side. The breakfast is fantastic, with fresh bread, fruits, cheese, eggs and many things more, also veggies staffs and oat milk in 🧃is available.
Beautiful Hotel, but ensure you are not allocated Ground Floor. Our Room Nbr 43 was closest Room to Foyer. No intervening/separating door and the noise from the foyer and guests was horrendous. We were unable to get to sleep before 3.30am due to noisy patrons in the foyer, and guests accessing other levels. Spoke to Reception first morning and was received with absolute courtesy and apologies. Was advised that there was a Night Receptionist who should have maintained a level of noise control, courtesy and respect. Management:- Please install a door to separate the noise emanating from the foyer, lounge, check in area at all times of the day for those guests allocated to this ground floor wing.
Very welcoming and very accommodating staff. Hotel extremely well located, close to the city center Cleaning to be improved work to be planned, in particular bathrooms Clogged showers, often feet in the water when leaving
Good breakfast and a fancy hotell. But it was without A/C or ventilation. Was almost impossible to sleep at night. The drainage was blocked so the water was flowing over. It gave a bad smell as well. After the stay we asked for a compensation to the high price, but they Said we should asked for another room. With to sleeping childrens that wasnt possible. We were looking forward for the stay, but it didnt live up to the expectation. Sadly. Maybe better when its cold outsider and you doesnt care if its expensive.
Very good quality-price ratio, quiet location along the fiord at 5 minutes walk from the city centre. Shopping centers, medieval district, university are at a close distance. Ideal for tourists, bicycle availble for rent.
Great, modern room and hotel in general, all you need is available, good breakfast, nice bar. Close to the water and to the city center, next to Utzon center. Bicycles can be rented. Don’t forget to ask for special deals and book at the hotel directly. A perfect place to stay in Aalborg.
We stayed a weekend at Pier 5. Very friendly staff who had prepared the room nicely for our daughter and dog. But no elevator to our room, so had to carry luggage and stroller up the stairs. Location of the hotel was amazing with view over the water. But friendly staff and good location didn’t help on the fact we didn’t get any sleep that weekend. The room was like a SAUNA! 25 degrees at night with very bad air quality because of no ventilation system and not possible to open windows to get some fresh air. We considered sleeping with the door to the hallway open, but too much noise. And we weren’t the first guests who had complained about this. What was the architect thinking?! I’m pretty sure the hotel manager never spent a summer night in his/her own hotel room. We are never staying there again. …
Newly renovated Hotel with friendly staff who go the extra mile. I stayed 9 nights and was very happy with the service, location and standard of accommodation. Breakfasts are a stand out as is the lovely sitting area with open fire and new furnishings - a home away from home.
The stay in the hotel was the best. It was our first time in Aalborg and Pier 5 Hotel made it even outstanding for us. The location was perfect as it was close to everywhere we wanted to stay. Thanks to the staff and everyone at the hotel.
Had a Family room with a connecting door to the neighbor room. Here the hotel decided to host four adults partying most of the night keeping our family awake large parts of the night. When checking out the hotel did not recognize the level of noise or inconvenience in general. Super super bad service level. Will never visit this hotel again
