Rooms (Annex) are tiny old and worn. But as such is quaint-a bit of a maze to navigate. The food at dinner is awesome, staff are moody though. Breakfast is sufficient - nothing out of the ordinary The location in Bogense is great - a good base for exploring
What a hole. I have never in my life stayed at a worse hotel. I do not have a single positive comment. I have stayeuhd in hostels that were more inviting. Give this place a miss. There was not even a facilities to make a coffee in the morning, which is more or less standard even in the cheapest hotels. Real shame because the town of Bogense is delightful. Going to stay at Lunds hotel at the marina next time.
I have been on a business trip in the area of Bogense. Usually I am staying at another hotel but this was fully booked. A colleague of mine recommended the Bogense Hotel. For me it was a pure disappointment. The room (no. 53) was so old fashioned it has probably not seen any refurbishment since it has been opened. A makeover of the reception and the dining rooms would be recommended as well. The breakfast was reasonable for 39 danish crowns. The ala carte dinner they offer is delicious.
Location was fine, in the middle of the town. Friendly people. The rooms are very simpel, no tv, bad WiFi , bed was ok. Toilets and showers to be shared with other guest. Showers are not clean, avoid them. Breakfast was good. Enough parking space.
Cozy and with very god food. Oldfasioned interior. Not so clean as wished. Fine parking. Not far from the harbor. The restaurent had fine christmas decorations and a special menu. Had a big ballroom for private parties.
This hotel has a special offer for spending a night with both dinner and breakfast for a reasonable price. I had informed the front desk that I needed gluten-free products, and they were provided without difficulty at both dinner and breakfast. The dinner included several types of wine that were all excellent. The room was comfortable and quiet. If you happen to be in the neighborhood of this hotel, perhaps after spending some time as a tourist in Odense, then you might drop in for a brief stay.
I really nice old hotel, when you walk in it is like walking in to your grandma's house, the smell, the interior etc. BUT a very nice big clean room. No complaints from me. Very central location 5 min walk from the harbor
We came here only for eating lunch, but we became surprised. Passing by outside it was really nothing - the menu cards did show nothing else than a normal place. But as it was a little chilly we stepped inside. Wow - we were set back in time. We were here a Saturday and there were a lot of people. This place was like in the 1950's. It looks like it has never been updated. Only the food was - it was just as we would have it.
Bogense hotel is an average and very old hotel lying in the mainstreet in Bogense. Adelgade leads down to a small harbour and on the way you meet a small copy of the famous statue Manneken Pis. The harbour is very cosy with small hotels and coffee bars. There is also a small place with sand ans a bridge so you can bath in the sea. Bogense hotel has a restaurant, well visited by mostly elderly couples. They serve well cooked Danish meals. The rooms is not so much to speak about. They are very ordinary and the beds are not that comfortable, maybe because the bed pillow are very flat . The surroundings and the parking space behind the hotel is very nice.
Entering Bogense Hotel is like stepping back 50 years. The decor, smell and atmosphere is what I believe it was like in the 60's. Hence the old interior someone might claim it should be up for refurbishment, however is so nice that these places still exist. We had one of the "new" rooms in the back - dated back to the 70's - late early 80's full blown retro - just loved it. The dinner and breakfast is what you will expect from a small provincial hotel/inn: you will not be blown away with first class gastronomy, but you will be full and satisfied.
