This place is an absolute gem!
Perched up in the mountain overlooking the plain of Sparta and next to Mystras.
You do need a powerful car to get up the winding road and your traveling partners should not be subject to travel sickness.
Ilaeira Resort will surprise you with its natural beauty and secluded setting in the tiny village of Toriza. The drive up is in itself spectacular on a curving but well kept paved road. The hotel is comprised of tastefully and well appointed rooms and villas...More
This is an unusual place. It is high in the mountains above Sparta so must provide welcome fresh air in high summer. We were there over the Greek orthodox Easter weekend in early May. We were the only non-Greeks there and enjoyed the Easter Sunday...More
Two fanatastic restaurants, amazing beautiful rooms all with stunning views up and down the valley. Excellent, caring staff who spoke great English. They even rang us to make sure we were okay during a storm! The room was very clean and beautifully presented down to...More

our hotel is situated in a village 15km from the center of Sparti which is about 25 minutes far by car. It is not a difficult or dangerous road but the last 6km is a windy road up the mountain. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes most to drive the last 6 km. Maybe some of our guests find it difficult to drive through at night since the lighting isn't like a highways :) I hope I helped!! We'll be happy to see you.
