Detailed Reviews
Excellent hotel, especially if you want to stay away from the city center (the hotel is situated in a quiet residential area). We wanted to stay for one night only. It was off season and there were not many people staying in the hotel, so the hotel restaurant was closed (which is fully logical). Luckily there is a cafe/restaurant just accross the street. We stayed in a room with sea view and had the slight sound of waves as a lullaby.

Great location, very clean sanitize stations everywhere you turn. We had a amazing ocean view and pool view. Staff was friendly and every member I seen wore a mask correctly covering mouth and nose. I felt safe and comfortable. Excellent experience.

The view stunning, clean hotel, facility nice, stuff friendly and also open for traveling guests, who arrive late with the Ferry. Flexible price wise, because we do not need "all in" and sometimes need only a room for one afternoon, to rest until entering the next ferry. Thanks for always being there for us.

Clean and comfortable hotel in a great location.
As a vegetarian I struggled during our week long stay with the choice of food and basically lived off Greek salad for the week. Breakfast was sometimes okay, but that too could pose a problem with bacon or ham in the food. One four slice toaster that didn't toast and staff kept offering warm bread.
The pool and pool bar seemed to open later and later each morning.
We paid for all inclusive, but got charged for cheese toastie by the pool, despite showing our wrist bands.
Some of the staff were pleasant and helpful, others seemed to not want to help and looked grumpy, especially the two older staff on reception who were quite rude.
Beds were very uncomfortable.
We left the hotel early and paid to stay elsewhere as the problems made our stay poor value and unpleasant.
If your staying here I would recommend to eat elsewhere.
Sorry to leave such a poor review, I don't like to leave reviews like this, but the hotel needs to address several areas.

Dear Mr Sean, Thank you for choosing Airotel Achaia Beach Hotel for your accommodation and take the time to write your review. We are very sorry to see that your stay did not meet your expectations. Especially, about your comment for options of the food for vegeterians, I believe, as I wrote to your wife, if you have mentioned it to the front desk, the hotel manager ordered the chef would have been informed and you would have had many more options. I am very sorry for your negative impression of our front office staff, I believe that this was an unfortunate incident. I wish and hope to see you again here, in our Hotel, and to give us the opportunity to show you our hospitality, our good service and our care to meet with a great pleasure your requests. Best Regards, Katerina Anastasopoulou Assistant Manager

The location is very good and so is the view but there are certain drawbacks. There is no control over who is entering the hotel which results in no availability for parking for many of those who have paid to stay at the hotel. Moreover, many "outsiders" visit the pool, the beach bar and the beach in front of the hotel and as a result it is often difficult to find a place to drink your coffee or an umbrella to protect yourself from the sun, eventhough you have paid for these amenities.

We have just returned from a week at this hotel, overall, we had a nice time, having said that, we would probably not return, however, this is more due to our own preferences.
Pros
-The hotel room was lovely and clean, large balcony with the most amazing views of the sea and mountains- probably the best view I’ve ever had from a hotel room before
-The hotel is situated on the beach and sun loungers are free and plentiful
-Pool area nice and clean, no issues getting sun loungers
-Toddler room which was really good for keeping little ones entertained
-Fully equipped games room
Cons
-All inclusive is quite restrictive, alcohol drinks are limited to red/white wine, lager and ouzo only, spirits and cocktails are an extra charge. Also, ice creams only served between 11-12 & 5-6
-Food was average, the selection wasn’t huge and there wasn’t much for children to eat, be aware if you have fussy children like ours
-Pool did not open until 11am- I personally feel that this is too late, especially as the afternoons get so hot
-The hotel advertises it has a babysitting service- it doesn’t
-There isn’t much to do in the local area, we had a rental car and even with this, there wasn’t much to do locally and there’s only so much swimming you can do!
-No evening entertainment program
-Limited parking at hotel
This place would be perfect for couples looking for a quiet break away, however, for young families, there just isn’t enough to do, (for us anyway.) We both agreed that 4 nights would have been enough, however, the views and beachfront location made up for the lack of entertainment. If you go, make sure you check out Bodegas Summer- a beautiful beachfront restaurant with live music!

Good breakfast, especially for people who like sweet things. The hotel may not be the newest, but it is very well maintained and sparkling clean. The large pool is a dream, the beach is right next door, the water is crystal clear. The staff are always helpful and all speak English. Very comfortable beds. The air conditioning regulates well and is whisper quiet. I would strongly recommend a room facing the sea, the view is a dream.
I also like the stations where you can get free filtered, chilled drinking water. That saves tons of plastic.
Two things that need improvement: Firstly, the water-saving shower head in the bathroom "overdoes it" a bit: so little water comes out with zero pressure that it ends up taking twice as long to wash your hair. Secondly, the coffee at the breakfast buffet does not deserve its name. Just put one or two filter coffee machines with good coffee as an option.
In my opinion, the two points of criticism do not justify a deduction, hence 5 balls.
By the way, the best coffee nearby (5 minutes by car) can be found at "Coffee Island"

1 STAR:
The only thing they have going for them is being right on the beach. Food is horrible. We turned the air conditioner on when we got in the room and left it on, we arrived around 18:30. About 6 hours later after we set the aircon on high we wake up sweating (A/C is junk). Fridge turns on but food is still room temp. All in all this is not the place to stay 1, because of the A/C not working 2, food so bad I would feed my dog with it and 3, because the fridge didn’t work.
RECOMMENDATION: move on find something better this is not an 8+ rating as posted. We might have been unlucky with the fridge and A/C it can happen but the food was disgusting.

Dear Guest, First and foremost we would like to thank you for choosing Airotel Achaia Beach for your stay. It is with great concern that your stay was less than perfect due to our food, which the overall customer assessment is that it is excellent. About the ac and the fridge, if you had informed us about the malfunction they would have been fixed immediately. All your comments are taken into account for the improvement of our hotel. We hope you will give us another chance to win you over again. Kind Regards, Katerina Anastasopoulou Assistant Manager

I was there from 16.7. - 23.7.2024, I'm coming back again in September. Wonderful hotel with a great manager Katerina, willing to help all guests with every little thing. Very lovely and kind stuff at the reception, everywhere throughout the hotel. The rooms are incredibly beautiful, cleaned every day, including changing towels. Amazingly blue sea and view of the RIO - ANTIRIO bridge, although you need to take shoes to enter the sea. You can always choose something delicious from Greek food in the dining room: breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner. Nearby is the city of Patras with shops, cafes and a Greek atmosphere, The train to Patra for EUR 1.40 runs from the morning almost all day, until 10:30 p.m. Special thanks also to the staff: Thanos, Marina, Ivana, Athina.

I was a little unsure about this night's stay during our trip, but was pleasantly surprised. This hotel is clean and decent -- rooms were comfortable, and location excellent. There is adequate parking on site, and several good restaurants within easy walking distance right on the beach. It's a lovely view of the Ionian Sea and toll bridge. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again.

Dear AngelaS1959,
thank you for your reservation at Airotel Achaia Beach!
Kindly note that we do not provide shuttle bus, but only 300 meters away from the hotel is the train station. The city center is only 3 stops from the hotel and the train operates daily from around 7 in the morning till 10:30 in the night.
Once you arrive at the hotel, please ask our front desk colleagues to hand in to you the train schedule.
There is also the taxi option, but it will be more expensive.
At your disposal should you need any additional information.
Best regards,
There is a kind of suburban train not far away from the hotel, which takes you to the city centre. You pay the fee (1 €) directly to the staff on the train. A taxi is about 8-10 euros. Buses are very complicated in my opinion as there are no timetables on display and stops are not announced during the drive. In the case of the suburban train, I just sat at the stop and waited until it arrived, which was about 30 minutes.
Dear Dania, we do provide towels to use at the swimming pool and beach, free of charge.
regards
Hi! We have separated playrooms for children of all ages but there is no standard babysitting service. We can arrange the service with an external partner upon your request (with an extra charge).
Dear KevynT,
thank you for your message and your interest in our property.
Kindly note that we have available space for your boat (our parking space is open air) but please note that pets are not allowed inside the hotel.
At your disposal for any additional information you may need and I hope we will have the chance to accommodate you.
Kind regards,
Airotel Achaia Beach
